Missing details, dubious perspective[edit]

I have some issues with this article, particularly related to how it's written and some details that I believe have been left out. The thing I'm most concerned about is the use of the words "fame" and "notoriety", since fighter pilots as far as I'm aware aren't treated as celebrities. It might be true for some military aviation circles maybe, but that's about it. Otherwise it sounds a little biased in favor of an Iranian standpoint. Also the cite note mentioned that this pilot was shot down a few months after achieving his kill on that MiG-25 (and him becoming a POW was how they were able to verify the kill), yet that detail isn't included in the article itself, nor is this pilot listed in the category for shot down aviators. I would make these changes myself but I'm afraid they'll be reverted without a proper discussion. That's why I'm starting one here. CFFan116 (talk) 04:38, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"no·to·ri·e·tyˌ nōdəˈrīədē/ noun, noun: notoriety the state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed."

"fame, noun common estimation or opinion generally held of a person or thing; reputation."

What details have been left out? Be specific.

Why are you concerned? Wikipedia doesn't care what you think about celebrity, and who said he was one anyways? You?

Biased in favour of an Iranian standpoint? No shit Sherlock. Its about a successful Iranian pilot. How could it not be biased? You want to praise the Iraqis, well then write an article about one of their pilots (and there is one. I created it.)

He was shot down, and the detail is IN THE FOOTNOTE! That is what they are for. Geez you are dense.

Add him to the category.

And don't change the article. But be afraid. Very afraid.

It is quite possible to write an article about a certain serviceman from a certain country without it being biased. I don't know if you're new here or you're just stupid. CFFan116 (talk) 05:25, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
