External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Yorke Island (Queensland). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Merge proposal[edit]

There's a 2020 proposal to merge Masig Island, Queensland into Yorke Island (Queensland); while the need for a merge is obvious (the same place is described), the target isn't. Rather than Yorke Island, I suggest using Masig Island, given that that now seems to be the officially preferred name: that's the one used in both the 2016 census and now by the Queensland Government. The Queensland Place Names database is authoritative, and it gives Masig Island as the official name but notes it has appeared on a map as Yorke Island. The locality is also called Masig Island. However, the island is part of the island group officially called Yorke Islands (plural). But yes the target of the merge should be Masig Island. Kerry (talk) 13:24, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
