Zhang Daqian → Chang Dai-chien — There is no reason to believe a person who fled China in 1948 and never set foot since would agree his name to be romanized in pinyin. Samuel di Curtisi di Salvadori 19:15, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- Since the sources use Wade-Giles, we probably should too. But a redirect (and mention of the pinyin, for those who understand no other) would be good things too. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 23:38, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- Support. Check out the article's references. — AjaxSmack 21:59, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- Speculations as to his preferred Romanization are irrelevant. I support the move, however, for the same reasons Septentrionalis does. --Atemperman (talk) 22:51, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Meeting with Picasso 1953 or 1956 or both?
[edit]The current article has Chang Dai-chien meeting with Picasso in 1953. That claim is sourced and cited, but I've seen other mentions that the meeting was in 1956. Did they meet twice? Is one of the dates (1953 vs. 1956) erroneous (i.e., the cited source is in error, or other sources are in error)? --Quartermaster (talk) 14:21, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
The works of Chang Dai Chien (as opposed to his forgeries)
[edit]The current article lacks such a section. Apart from being a master forger of the greatest painters of China,Chang was one of the greatest himself. Museums in Taipei and Beijing have the best collections of his work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.157.131.197 (talk) 04:55, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
