Duke Chu of Jin[edit]

  • ... that during the reign of Duke Chu, the state of Jin was partitioned into three states, an event often considered the start of the Warring States period of Chinese history?

I think the info's good, but I the hook itself could be easier to read. What about these? I like Alt 2. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 03:27, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
I like Alt 2 the best as well, so striking out the other 2. Thanks for the suggestions! --Zanhe (talk) 16:29, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

- Article meets length and date requirements, hook is interesting and properly sourced. (Sorry for the delay, I'm new to this process) ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 05:28, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the review! --Zanhe (talk) 05:30, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
No problem. As a side-note, I am very happy to see articles like this written. It is such a shame that China has so much history and yet so little of it makes its way onto ENWP, due to the effort required to properly source the material, and the fact that most editors are more interested in popular culture. So, thank you for writing another article on Chinese history, and I hope this DYK meets no further hurdles to a well-deserved place on the front page. It may not get as many page views as Justin Bieber, but this is where the real value in WP lies. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 06:00, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much for the encouraging words. They are worth a million page views to me. --Zanhe (talk) 06:14, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
