Ich liebe den Höchsten von ganzem Gemüte, BWV 174[edit]

  • Reviewed: Salon des Cent
  • Comment: The hook is way too long, help welcome. Bach composed for Pentecost Monday, 28 May, but it could also appear on Pentecost, 27 May, if some reference to the feast is wanted.

ALT1 ... that Bach improved a movement of his Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 to "new-minted sheen and force" by five added wind parts in Ich liebe den Höchsten von ganzem Gemüte, BWV 174, for Pentecost Monday? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:52, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
ALT2 ... that for Pentecost Monday Bach improved his Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 to "new-minted sheen and force" by five added wind parts in the movement Ich liebe den Höchsten von ganzem Gemüte, BWV 174?
Thanks for the suggestion, but sorry, that doesn't work, the movement "Ich liebe den Höchsten von ganzem Gemüte" is movement 2 of the cantata in 5 movements, the addition is in movement 1, Sinfonia, derived from movement 1 of the concerto. If anything is added, it would be "cantata" as in the original hook, but I tried to shorten, and we had 3 cantatas last week, so people might know ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:52, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
Date, length and original hook checked out; ALT1 is majorly POV and possibly OR...; poss alts: Maculosae tegmine lyncis
ALT3 ... that Bach reinforced a movement of his Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 with "new-minted sheen and force" by adding five wind parts in Ich liebe den Höchsten von ganzem Gemüte, BWV 174, for Pentecost Monday?
ALT4 ... that for the sinfonia of his cantata for Pentecost Monday Bach added five wind parts to a movement from his Brandenburg Concerto No. 3? (talk) 00:01, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks for thoughts. I confess to be not happy with ALT4, because the article is not about cantata in general, let's introduce the title of the specific one. (I also think the article name should not count for hook length.)
ALT5 ... that for Pentecost Monday, Bach added five wind parts to the opening of Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 to form the Sinfonia of Ich liebe den Höchsten von ganzem Gemüte, BWV 174? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:28, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
ALT5 comes in <200 characters and it and page length and date otherwise ok; good to go (for Monday 28 May please), Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 07:55, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
