Rye and Camber Tramway[edit]

An editor asked whether this tramway should be on the RDT. It's an understandable question, but in my opinion it should be for the same reason that, for example, the Hythe pier tramway is on the Fawley Branch Line article: that it answers questions that arise when two relatively small railways are adjacent like this. I often find myself wondering which railway a station is part of when they are in the same small town and are consequently similarly named. Britmax (talk) 08:26, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I added it because when I was looking up books to cite the various opening dates, at least two mentioned the tramway alongside the other closed branches. So I followed suit and added, but I did say "is this on topic. If not, feel free to revert". To give a more contemporary example, Template:Chatham Main Line does not show Canterbury West directly, while Template:Ashford to Ramsgate (via Canterbury West) line doesn't show Canterbury East. I think the casual reader may not be aware there was even a second station in Rye; all evidence of it seems to have been more or less obliterated.
