Cleanup needed[edit]

This template needs to be cleaned. Several journals that are listed as OA are, in fact, not OA. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to check all this (and I don't know enough about creating templates either) to do this myself. --Crusio (talk) 17:46, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seems the split into open/subscription may not be a good one, particularly because of the new tendency for some articles in subscription journals to be available in open access (permanently). There is also the difficulty of checking the status (open/subscription) for any particular journal, as indicated above. It is also unfortunate that the present name of this template is "Open access statistics journals", since the majority are listed as "subscription". I suggest moving to a structure with headings like "outreach", "theory", "general applications", "specific appications" and "teaching", and giving the template a better name. This is a good idea (and the other comments were also very good). An ambitious editor might try to organize a collapsible template with such sub-templates, like the upgraded statistics template. Best regards, Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 20:22, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Moved. EdJohnston (talk) 03:17, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

– More appropriate name for the content. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Statistics#Journal_templates for rationale. Illia Connell (talk) 04:31, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • This isn't really a multi-move. You just want to move this template over a redirect, during which the current title will automatically become a redirect to the new title. I've tweaked the request accordingly. As for the merits of the request, it seems common sense. Support. --BDD (talk) 16:23, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification. Regards, Illia Connell (talk) 17:44, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
