TRANSAVIAEXPORT Airlines is a Belarusian National Airline involved in air transportation of cargo. It is based at the Minsk International Airport in Belarus, with a hub at the Sharjah International Airport, in the United Arab Emirates. Company was established in December 1992.

After 15 years of operation the airline has become an active player in the international market of air transportation of cargo, has won recognition among clients and has got a reputation as a reliable partner. TRANSAVIAEXPORT's aircraft may be seen in the airports in Europe, Asia, USA, South America, Australia, Antarctic, the Middle East and Africa. By establishing air links with many countries they have promoted contracts and closer ties between nations.

TRANSAVIAEXPORT is registered with ICAO with the three-letter designator TXC and in IATA with the two-letter designator AL (IATA Accnt. 221). TRANSAVIAEXPORT is a corporate member of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA). TRANSAVIAEXPORT has been registred as a UN supplier (ID No 11796) since 1998 year.

TRANSAVIAEXPORT Airlines operated IL-76 heavy-lifters capable of transporting up to 45 tons of freight with a volume up to 210 cubic meters. IL-76 "Candid", a heavy ramp freighter, is one of the most efficient and demanded aircraft. The ability of this aircraft to operate in airport with undeveloped or underdeveloped infrastructure allows it to both meet the needs of entire regions in term of air cargo transportation, and significantly expand the customer base by attracting shippers who would normally use other ways of transportation.

[edit] Incidents and accidents

  • On March 9, 2007, a TransAVIAexport Airlines Ilyushin Il-76TD (s/n 1003499991, registered EW-78826), on approach at Mogadishu, Somalia, was hit by a projectile, which was later confirmed to be a RPG by Belarus officials.[1] The aircraft landed safely but sustained substantial damage.

According to the Air Operator's Certificate issued by Interstate Aviation Committee, as well as in accordance with the license issued by State Aviation Committee of the Republic of Belarus No 03050/0193020 dated 01.02.2005 the Airline is granted the rights:

  • to operate schaduled and charter air transportation of cargo, including special (dangerous) kinds of loads on internal and international air routes;
  • to operate, maintain and repair IL-76 air machinery.

TRANSAVIAEXPORT's ground support base provides a complete set of technical servicing and maintenance support for IL-76 aircraft and is outfitted with all modern fault-diagnosis equipment. The computer facilities make it possible to process and analyze flight data from the FDR's and detect aircraft system malfunctions in time and check flight crew performance. A multi-layer reliability control system has been installed to check the status of all aircraft units, parts and mechanisms.

TRANSAVIAEXPORT's aircraft are available for ACMI wet lease for short or long periods.

TRANSAVIAEXPORT Airlines continues to work on improving service quality and increasing freight transportation volumes.
