Veritas Evangelical Seminary is a Christian graduate school in Murrieta, California north east of San Diego. The seminary was co-founded in 2008 by Dr. Norman Geisler, a Christian apologist and theologian, and Dr. Joseph Holden, author and lecturer.
Veritas Evangelical Seminary (VES) is currently seeking accreditation by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
Veritas Evangelical offers students graduate programs through residence or distance education that integrate classical theology, philosophy, and apologetics for a comprehensive and coherent Christian worldview.
The mission of Veritas Evangelical Seminary (VES) is to "prepare a generation of spiritually mature, biblically equipped, academically advanced, and socially developed individuals for a life of opportunity and service to the glory of God." VES is conservative Protestant doctrinally and holds firmly to the inerrancy of the Bible. VES is holds to a classical apologetics approach that emphasises an understanding of philosophy.

Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.)
Master of Christian Apologetics (M.C.A.) with majors in: Philosophy of Religion and Apologetics.
Master of Biblical Studies (M.B.S.)
Master of Divinity (M.Div.) with majors in: Biblical Studies and Apologetics
Resident and distance education[edit]
Distance Education is also available from VES. For those unable to move to the Murrieta area, lectures can be provided online or through DVD video, notes, textbooks, and assignments. In addition to distance education, students may complete up to half of any degree program at either of two extension teaching sites located in Orange County, California, and Old Bridge, New Jersey.

History[edit]
In 2008 Veritas Evangelical Seminary was co-founded by Norman L. Geisler (Provost) and Joseph M. Holden (President).
In October 2008 VES was granted corporation status by the California Department of State. The campus location in Murrieta, California, was granted by Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
In February 2009 the Seminary was awarded its 501(c)3 non-profit tax exempt status.
In March 2009 the Seminary held it's first course.
In January 2010 Dr. Norman L. Geisler was appointed to the VES Norman L. Geisler Chair of Christian Apologetics.
In May 2010 VES held its first graduation commencement for the first two VES graduates, awarding the Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) degree.
In September 2010, after an examination of Veritas Evangelical Seminary documents and a review of the degree programs, VES was granted permission to grant degrees in the state of California. Veritas Evangelical Seminary's degree programs meet California state requirements for non-profit religious corporation exemption pursuant to California Education Code Section 94874(e) as verified by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.
