Prilično Prazni are a streetpunk band from Belgrade, Serbia. Their name comes from an ironical and literal translation of Sex Pistols' song title Pretty Vacant.

History[edit]

The band was formed in 1994 in New Belgrade as a school cover band of the favourite British punk and oi! tunes and performers. A punk band with the identical name existed in the same area of New Belgrade in the late 1980-ties, but without notable impact.

In their early days, Prilično Prazni had mainly performed in alternative clubs and underground venues across Belgrade, with few appearances outside the hometown.

First Prilično Prazni demo tracks had been recorded in 1999, and their first studio album Jedan minut nije dovoljan - containing 10 new songs and two covers (Cock Sparrer Because You're Young and Peter and the Test Tube Babies Maniac) was released in 2004, by an independent Belgrade-based label I.C.S.

Second Prilično Prazni studio album, entitled Samo borbeno, was released in early 2009. The album includes 9 new tracks and a streetpunk cover version of Vjeran pas, song originally performed by Croatian Novi Pank Val band Termiti in the late 1970-ties.

Live performances[edit]

In between the two studio releases, Prilično Prazni had performed in most of Serbian cities, as well as in several countries in the region (Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Republic of Macedonia).

They also appeared at a number of local music festivals, played alongside or supported well established names of the genre, such as Last Resort, Sham 69, Section 5, Šaht, GBB etc.

Influences[edit]

Prilično Prazni sound has mainly been influenced by British punk rock and oi! bands, such as The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Cock Sparrer, The Business, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, Sex Pistols etc.
