Jhangal Shah Pir[edit]
Jhangal Shah Pir (Sindhi:جهنگل شاهه پڙ ; Urdu جھنگل شاه پیر ) is a Dargah and an Imam Bargah (a Shia religious place) related to Jhangal Shah Sadaats (Sayeds) of Shikarpur, a city in Sindh province of Pakistan. This Dargah/Imam Bargah is located at the Centre of the city,
where different Shia rituals are performed throughout the year,[1] especially the days of birth and the death celebrations of Shia Imams, their household (Ahl al Bait) and the companions related to Twelver Shi'ism.
The name Jhangal Shah came from a notable ancestor of this family whose original name was Sayed Saeed Ali Shah. The word Jhangal in his name came from because he was born in a village, whose name was Jhangal Village (Sindhi: جھنگل ڳوٺ).[2]

The Jhangal Shah Pir contains different portions, especially a place to keep Taaziya (Imitation of Imam Hussain Shirine), which are brought during the Islamic month of Muharram's first 10 days called "Ashra e Muharram". The Taaziya's are brought in a procession called "Jaloos" in which thousands of the devotees participate. There is a big courtyard in front of the Taaziya place, where the "Majalis" (A gathering in which the speakers mention the events of Martyrdom of Imam Hussain ibne Ali bin Abu Talib and his companions in Kerbala, Iraq).
There are also graves of different personalities belonging to Saadats of Jhangal Shah family, mainly a small shrine of Jhangal Shah's eldest son, Sayed Qalandar Bux Shah, which is made of wood and iron nets.
