Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Gas Light, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless used with permission. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Thank you for the explanation. Hopefully I have corrected the problem. I didn't want to leave it undone after investing all that time in the article. I'll take a brief break to rethink how I can best contribute and invest my time here. Thanks again for the constructive comments. They are appreciated. 97.99.90.245 (talk) 02:49, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Gaslighting, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. The categories of "Bullying", "Communication of falsehoods" and "Deception" that you removed as "unrelated" are all directly relevant to the article subject. Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Lord Belbury (talk) 08:03, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Lord Belbury: My understanding is that making edits while logged out is not against policy, and in and of itself, does not qualify as multiple accounts nor does it warrant a warning. See WP:LOGGEDOUT. I'd to encourage you to be mindful of WP:HOUNDING. "Hounding usually involves following the target from place to place on Wikipedia." If you believe the 5 edits you flagged above qualify as WP:SOCK, please explain how, or otherwise please assume good faith and not post generalized warnings. Thanks. Hello again Wiki-psyc, I replied to this on my talk page. If you understand the policies in question, then I'm glad to hear it. I'm assuming good faith and hope you are too. --Lord Belbury (talk) 17:59, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
