Linking issues within Wikipedia[edit]

Dear Editors

I am having trouble making links appear in my Sandbox practice entry. I have entered brackets around the words I want to link, which looks like this [apples] and [pears] but only some of the words have linked/are displayed in red. What am I doing wrong? This is an example of my entry which produced no links:-

'After a growth in Company profits and the launch of an in-house IT [infrastructure] to manage its specialist products, Pavilion listed on London’s [Alternative Investment Market] on 17th June 2004'.

Any assistance as soon as you can would be greatly appreciated

Hi Bellance, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have copied your request for assistance to your talk page here for easy reference later, I hope you don't mind.

When linking to internal Wikipedia pages, you need to use double brackets, like this: [[apples]] and [[pears]]. Rendered, that looks like this: apples and pears. Single brackets are used for external links, but we can get back to that after you get internal links to work. Hope this helps. Charm ©† 15:32, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mike. How could I make it more notable? Pavilion is owned by Jardine Matheson Holdings which is in the FTSE Group and it is the only one of its kind in the insurance sector - offering niche products. Your sandbox has gone missing - if you still want to create the article can you find it and paste it in User_talk:Bellance/Sandbox? (you need to click on the link edit this page.) Notable, it probably is, but my concerns are about Wikipedia used as a tool to raise speculation about an AIM company. Everything must be sourced at the highest level.
