Cut and paste move of Glenvew Creek[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Glenvew Creek a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Glenview Creek. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. • Gene93k (talk) 20:22, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Glenview Creek at Glenview Road 1.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Glenview Creek at Glenview Road 1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Acather96 (talk) 17:16, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

More Problems :([edit]

Sorry, but there are still a few issues with your uploads.

Also, File:Glenview Creek 1925 1.jpg and File:Glenview Creek 1925 2.jpg have a similar problem. You don't own the rights, so can't release them under the GFDL. Furthermore, they are not in the Public Domain as even though they were created in 1926, they were only published in 2005 - so copyright will expire in 2046. Therefore, you need to add an appropriate non-free use rationale to borh pictures. Thanks, Acather96 (talk) 21:30, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Back of Stewart-Warner Complex in Chicago 1990.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
