AfD Nomination: History of Greater Mongols[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that History of Greater Mongols meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/History of Greater Mongols. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Latebird 14:29, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Xianbei and Kidan maps[edit]

Hello and welcome! Have you got good maps for the Xianbei period and Kidan period? Good maps for Xianbei and Kidan are needed for History of Mongolia article. There is a map of Liao Dynasty there, but it shows its territory not touching Mongolia. But the Kidans did leave towns and fortresses in Dornod, Hentei and Bulgan aimags. Gantuya eng 14:35, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I have no map or knowledge of map of Liao. Dagvadorj

Don't be angry[edit]

Hi. I think I often have difficulties in not being unfriendly, esp. online and when writing in English. Hope you can excuse me and don't take it all to heart. Yaan 11:08, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem man. :) Dagvadorj

WikiProject Central Asia[edit]

Hi - based on your interests on your userpage, I thought you might be interested in WikiProject Central Asia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aelfthrytha (talkcontribs) 03:36, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolia work group[edit]

Hi, I'd like to invite you to the Mongolia work group of the WikiProject Central Asia. You're welcome to add that page to your watchlist and participate in discussions there. So far, many general discussions about topics related to Mongolia have been discussed on individual user's talk pages, away from the attention of a wider audience. I hope that a centralized talk page will make communication between all of us easier. If a question doesn't primarily concern just one specific user, then the work group is probably the right place to ask it. See you there! --Latebird (talk) 06:23, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Water Tatars[edit]

I think water tatars were conquered during the reign of Great Khan Ogodei. It is claimed that they were in northern Manchuria. Could you provie more detailed infor about mongol rule in Manchuria, especially northern part of the region. --Enerelt (talk) 06:50, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolia during Qing rule[edit]

Hi, I've reverted your copy-and-paste operation. First, this is not the right way to rename/move articles from a technical point of view. It causes the edit history to get lost, which results in a violation of the GFDL license. Second, that article has only recently been moved in the other direction, so a new move will require prior discussion. Note also that "during Qing rule" is much better English than "during Qing", which was the main reason for the previos move. --Latebird (talk) 20:48, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolian BLP[edit]

Would you be able to assess if this person is notable: Ichinnorov Manjaa? It has been BLP Prodded. I speak no Mongolian and Google Translate can't handle it, so I find it impossible to assess the sources; what little there is about her in English is snippets or 404. If the article is deleted before you see this and you'd like to see it I can let you see the text. Fences&Windows 20:15, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
