Church article[edit]

I am one of the founders of the Church of the ecumenical redemption International and am wondering if you respect international laws that prevent discrimination based upon religious beliefs.

You think providing information about the Church is proselytation? Why? Do other Churches have their articles deleted because of their words?

I wish to know where you base your authority to obstruct me from carrying out the functions of my ministry.

Please consider I only expose folks to facts not religious opinions and since I know you had no time to examine the facts you are in no position to assume That the notice was proseletizing unless you support corrupt governments.

I do not allow discrimination of any kind to be applied to myself or members of my faith so I wish to know if it is your intent to continue censoring my faith in defiance of international law?

Blessings upon your replyOwlmon 21:14, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, this is an encyclopedia. You would do well to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia before making wild accusations. For starters, please read what Wikipedia is not. Thank you, --Fang Aili talk 23:01, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shen Kuo article once more[edit]

Hello Fang Aili, I have responded a bit to your requests in the FAC of Shen Kuo. I have also improved the article significantly in terms of prose and organization. Feel free to browse through and comment on what you think needs improving.--PericlesofAthens 15:47, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fang, I just added information on Shen Kuo's tomb, located in the Yuhang District of Hangzhou.--PericlesofAthens 13:47, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Fang, I just added information on the Chinese government's restoration of Shen's "Mengxi" garden estate in Zhenjiang, which I have placed in a new "Legacy" section at the end of the article.--PericlesofAthens 12:31, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:ADOPT input[edit]

Hello, Fang Aili. The Adopt-a-User program is looking for new ideas and input on the program. If you are still interested please stop by the talk page and read some of the ideas being floated and give a comment. If you want to update or change your information on the adopter's list page, now would be a great time! Thanks! V60 干什么? · VDemolitions 03:43, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure[edit]

Well, it doesn't look like I'll be editing Shen Kuo anymore, because it was just pulled as an FA nominee due to user Nydas' incessant demands for all quotes within the article to be deleted, because they "did not add anything to the article". Me and Zeus tried to argue with him, but he would not budge. Go figure. Sure, I'll take a look at your article though.--PericlesofAthens 23:15, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm no expert in FA status, but the article looks very good. If you nominate it, I will support it. :)--PericlesofAthens 02:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page you deleted[edit]

Hi, you (I think) deleted a page I created, a page that required some time to translate.

See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/delete&page=Mats_Brod%C3%A9n

Any chance the text of the page still exists somewhere, and I could have access to it?

Thanks, --AngelicoBelico 01:31, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was PROD'd last December and deleted by Kungfuadam. It was subsequently re-created as a one-liner several times. I will undelete your edits as a contested prod. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 18:52, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete my page? Is as much relevant as this page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VML%2C_Inc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.164.160.99 (talkcontribs)

It was deleted because it was written like advertising. Wikipedia does not accept such articles. Thank you. --Fang Aili talk 13:57, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense? This was an informative, linked and well researched article, with clear, if not somewhat humourous, intentions. It wasn't nonsense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.219.116.214 (talkcontribs)

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia in the future. Thanks. --Fang Aili talk 13:57, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but why was the Mustard-H page deleted? I had the article up for ten minutes, and put the "hang on" code in as soon as I saw it was marked not even a minute later for "speedy deletion". After that, I put up my reasoning on the talk page, and poof, my page was gone. Now my article may not have been entirely complete as of yet, But everything contained within my article was factual, and I would appreciate it if you could undelete it, or give me a good reason why it was deleted.

Soupisgoodfooood 14:57, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was pretty clear that this article does not assert notability (this is speedy delete criterion A7). It is not even clear that this person exists, with words like "believed", "rumored", and "little is known about his/her identity". Thank you, Fang Aili talk 15:00, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but I had just started writing that article, with the intentions of adding onto it. By the way, I read criterion A7, and what I wrote was not in conflict with the guidelines I have read. I really would appreciate the courtesy of being able to write a page, and it still being there long enough after five minutes to add anything to it. True, YOU may not heard of Mustard-H, but I hope you realize that this does not give you the right to say whether they are notable enough or not to have an article on Wikipedia.

I did my part in putting my reason and the hangon argument in the page, however, I'd like to see the same courtesy extended. Soupisgoodfooood 15:21, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well I will be, first of all, I had no idea you had to complete the site in another format and then upload everything to get a right response for you guys in management.

I am sorry but I "specifically" think that you should let people create articles step by step, not posting your all time dangerous "Warning, your new sucky article will be deleted, cause you must devote your all-time schedule to it, and must not post things with no relevance whatsoever.....

in conclusion, delete the site, i will do it all in wordpad... yes wordpad, and try again with a way bigger information article latter, after having a social life. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rpg1201 (talkcontribs)

Request for un-deletion of page[edit]

Hi, you recently deleted the page I've been trying to add under Popcorn brands, "Aussie Crunch." I've brushed up on the content guidelines and would like to make another go at posting the page in accordance with wikipedia's intent. What's the best way to go about this?

Thanks, Jmox 19:56, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just start it again. Make sure it doesn't sound like advertising, and try to answer the question, "why does this matter?"
You can work on it in your userspace too: try User:Jmox/Aussie Crunch. This way you can work on it in your own time, and move it to article space when it's done. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 19:58, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion[edit]

Dear Fang Aili, We are disappointed by your action of deleting BMJ Mureithi. Please read our reasons in the previous correspondence.

Thanks,

Deleted user talk page[edit]

Hey there! I noticed you deleted Some Stuff. OK!. However, note that, in fact, that article was the talk page of LooneyGeoffrey (talk · contribs), who moved it to My Talk and then to there (check the log). I suggest restoring the talk page to the user, since I don't see a valid reason for deleting it, and there are some warnings there. Cheers! -- ReyBrujo 18:20, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, my mistake. I looked at it. In the meantime, new messages have been posted at his talk page. I don't know how to restore his old talk, while retaining these new messages. Do you? If you would like to just do it, you can. Thank you, Fang Aili talk 21:01, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! I have done so (deleted the talk page, did a history merge, and then checked all the talks to leave in the page the ones that would have appeared under normal conditions, plus others to understand the context of newer talks). Cheers! -- ReyBrujo 21:28, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shen Kuo again[edit]

Hi, you remember a while ago when you asked if Shen was married and had kids or not? He did, both. I have updated the article, but I need help clearly translating this passage from the simplified Chinese wikipedia:

朱彧在《萍洲可談》的記載,沈括前後有二任妻子,第二任是淮南轉張芻之女,張氏驕蠻凶悍,平時常虐待沈括,将胡须连皮带肉扯将下来,兒女們抱头痛哭,跪求張氏息怒;又驅逐元配之子,年年狀告其父子。但是張氏去世後,沈括竟鬱鬱寡歡,过扬子江时,一度跳水尋短,並於隔年去世(《文海披沙摘录》)。

--PericlesofAthens 00:13, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure you want to use info from the zh: page because it has a "no sources" tag on it! (I'm afraid I can't help with the translation anyway-- it is beyond my abilities.) --Fang Aili talk 17:43, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you keep deleting my page???[edit]

I have permission to create a page for Christian keiber from Christian keiber himself.

I have authority to copy the data from his own website as a bio.

I am copying the data from IMDB because it is a list of facts and I have been trying to edit it to make it unique. How am I supposed to make a list of facts unique??? The list on imbd shows the name of the show, the year, the name of the episode, etc. I am trying to reorder them and change punctuation but am I NEVER supposed to be able to list Christian's biography online ever again??? Is it not his data???

I am so mad because the page I worked hard on is completely gone and I have to make the whole freakin thing again.

What do I have to do to prove I have all appropriate authority? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jsantandrea (talkcontribs) 18:49, 14 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Unfortunately, that article is copyright of IMDB. You can't use it, period. (See [3] in particular.) I invite you to put the information in your own words. Thank you, Fang Aili talk 18:59, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And please...[edit]

Could you atleast post a notice of deletion instead? Atleast give us time to fix things, expecially since the articles were brand new, I was just laying the foundation :P —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ThymeCypher (talkcontribs) 21:41, 14 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

BEFORE YOU DELETE MY POST AGAIN:

Here is the link to Christian Keiber's bio on HIS website: http://www.creativealleyproductions.com/biosck.html

That is my source. NOT IMDB.

He has asked me to create the entry and I copied HIS bio with HIS permission. If it is not in an encyclopedic tone, then I am sure the wiki community will correct it and that is fine.

JUST DON'T DELETE IT ANYMORE!

I also made a table of his accomplishments that I hope does not resemble the IMDB enough to get deleted again.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jsantandrea (talkcontribs)

I expect that there was a reason for this action... or did User:J_Milburn come crying to you in an email. Frankly, the rather childish obsession in deleting "offensive things" that's been going around on wikipedia lately has resulted in a series of headaches for me. This is hardly an isolated incident, as I've seen countless articles become "christianized" over that last several months (too many to count here). Therefore, I ask why? Hello How are you? Quick question[edit]

Hello Fang Aili, it's been a while since you and I spoke. I am not here to take too much time from you. Just wanted your opinion. This user has been removing each warning template he was giving for doing inappropriate edits and vandalizing the "Audio mastering" page. He was warned and advised at the audio mastering talk page to create consensus so as to include the names and definitions he wants revised on the article page. But he won't listen. So, is removing the warning templates considered in your view a violation of WP guidelines? (See the evidence, First [4] Second [5] Third [6] Fourth [7] Here is disruption at the Audio mastering page [8] [9], Please, please let me know, as soon as you can. Best regards. Evinatea 18:52, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am pretty tired right now, and real life has been keeping me really busy. But at first glance this looks like an edit dispute. Kjoonlee removed the warnings because he believes they are bogus. If his edits were obvious vandalism, then removing the warnings would also be considered vandalism. But since there is some ambiguity here, removing the warnings isn't necessarily vandalism or disruption. This appears to be a disagreement about a certain source, which needs to be worked out on the article talk page. All parties need to avoid 3RR. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 21:25, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're always kind and very informative as usual. Thanks! Best wishes. Evinatea 22:27, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've deleted your talk page per your request. I don't understand why you'd want to rename your account if you're vanishing, but if you want to do that you can put in a request here. --Fang Aili talk 21:19, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just being curious, article you deleted (Divination 5) did not violate any Wikipedia rules of the article as I tried to make it as neutral as I could, so what was this article deleted? Article about this CMS had same standards as any other article about other similar CMS:s but they were not deleted? I'm requesting restoration and little bit of explanation Dedaman

It was deleted because it did not assert notability, and it could also be viewed as advertising. Basically, articles need to answer the question, "Why does this matter?", not, "How many features does this have?" I hope this helps. --Fang Aili talk 13:47, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it answers some part of it, although this was not meant to be any way of adversiting, only wanted to add article of this system to the continuum of the CMS articles as I understand it is in some parties considered to be one of the most advanced CMS systems when it will be released to the open source. Wikipedia still holds without grunt multiple articles of the less known software as this was. As for the "Why does this matter" question, answer would be that as wikipedia intends to be free encyclopedia of knowledge, it should be open to accept information about similar and known subjects as it already holds (as in this, adding this article about some of known CMS to the categories of the other CMSs) for public to know and learn. I understand that in this area i'm rookie, but I really did not know how to be more neutral. Dedaman 13:53, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was pretty neutral, and that's great. The problem is that Wikipedia attempts to be an encyclopedia, not an indiscriminate collection of information. We don't accept articles on every garage band, every corner store, or every software program. (I realize that there are probably lots of non-notable subjects with articles, but no one has taken the time to delete them yet.) Supposing Divination 5 is released and becomes widely used, and receives press attention, then we can consider an article. I hope this makes sense! Cheers, Fang Aili talk 13:59, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly, your reasonigs are too good to be debated against. Mainly sadly because used quite some much of time for that article and did not spare the text anywhere, but I understand Wikipedia's policy, although, cannot agreed it fully since collection of human knowledge should contain all information, not only those what it may consider to be useful. But anyway, no (too) hard feelings. You're doing only your job. Dedaman 14:09, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you'd like a copy of the article, just send me an email! (Use the link in the left-hand column.)
I know what you mean about containing all information -- the debate about what should and should not be included in Wikipedia is always ongoing. There are many alternatives to Wikipedia though. Have you heard of Wikia? I'd bet there's a computer-subjects wiki out there. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 14:20, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First, thank you for giving of your time on the Wikipedia project.

Now, what kind of info would you suggest I include in the article I am attempting to put up (just general ideas of course as the person writing it I know it's up to me to include facts), would something as to the fact that they are the only north American organization to carry on a European tradition be worthy of note, the reason I haven't added that is finding a source to quote.

Any advice you could offer would be appreciated.

Thank you again for your time.

Hi Nos4ra2! Basically the article needs to answer the question, "Why does this matter?" I must admit I find it hard to believe that this is "the only north American organization to carry on a European tradition be worthy of note". Hope this helps! --Fang Aili talk 19:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The tradition is Perchtenlauf, which has now basically become a thing of the tourist industry of Europe. Outside of the Tourist industry type it is authentically practiced by some of the smaller villages and a handful of Heathen groups. (looking to find proof, so you may see a new improved version soon)  :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nos4ra2 (talkcontribs)

Advertising on Wikipedia[edit]

Im new to Wikipedia, and added an entry for Medi-ID an medical identity system, which you deleted because it is advertising, I accept that Medi-ID is a commercial organisation, however there is great interest and importance in such devices to protect the health of the users, I thought Medi-ID deserved an entry as it is to my knowledge the first integrated system. In that it brings together many aspects of Medical Identity to one system, whereby you can have Bracelets, Pendants, ID Cards, USB devices and now an online entry ensuring the information is readily available in an emergency. I thought it better to create a seperate entry, rather than fill up the Medical Identity Tag section with aspects that were not specifically about Medical Identity Tags. I accept that it is a form of advertising, but also believe that it is important that people looking for information on Medical Identification Devices are made aware of other options and developments. As I stated at the begining I am new to Wikipedia, and dont wish to break any rules, is there any format or approach that can be used to include the information without advertising? I have edited the entry, to try and do this and resubmitted it, I hope it will meet with your approval, or else you can inform me of whether such content can ever be approved. Many thanks for your time, and keep up the good work. Simon Carter (simon@simoncarter.com)

Hello Simon. Basically an article needs to answer the question, "why does this matter?", not "How many great features does it have?"
You might also want to have a look at Conflict of interest, which basically says that if you have a close connection to the subject, you probably shouldn't be writing about it. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 15:02, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Baba Sunder Das[edit]

Dear Fang,

I note that you have deleted my article on "Baba Sunder Das" under the linkage to Tarkhan Sikh religious figures.

I would like to understand why, since this is about a historic person and one who has been referenced in a text (reference to this was provided in the article).

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Fat Tails.

Hello. The article was deleted because it gave no context and no assertion of notability. If you think he is notable, go ahead and recreate the article, but explain more about his significance. Don't assume we know what you're talking about in advance. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 15:02, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fang,

Thanks for coming back to me. When you state "The article was deleted because it gave no context and no assertion of notability", to clarify, the article was split in two sections "historical" and "present day", the former was qualified by a textual reference and the latter referred to a modern day structure which stands on the site of the referenced persons memorial and links were provided in the article to Punjab, Sikh and Tarkhan issues. I would consider this to provide adequate 'context' as well as "notability", however if I am mistaken, please could you clarify so as to avoid repeating a non-qualifying article.

Regards,

Fat tails.

Ok, I'm going to restore this on AGF. It's still nigh-unreadable and I'm not convinced of his notability. To make the article better, you should clearly state the notability--for starters, by rewriting the first paragraph. Try breaking it up into 2 or 3 sentences. It's not necessary to declare the source immediately; it can be put in a footnote. You should also put in a timeframe--when did he live? Thanks, Fang Aili talk 17:46, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! You recently deleted the article I created on May Bird and the Ever After. I went to update the article with additional information and to also add the next two books in the series. Jodi Lynn Anderson is a New York Times best-selling author. Please let me know how to prove that a book is "Notable" so that you won't delete again. Thanks! Missjessica254 14:08, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. The article looks fine now. I deleted it because we get a lot of articles on books published by vanity publishers, or on the internet, etc. A book by a NYT best-selling author is certainly notable. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 15:02, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CLIL[edit]

Hello, I just saw that you deleted the article CLIL and protected from being created. I wanted to notice that I totally disagree because CLIL is a relevant theoretical framework on language learning. It is not just a vanity page. --Javier Carro 15:21, 25 May 2007 (UTC) (If you don't believe me, you can check the links in Google Scholar to CLIL)[reply]

It was deleted because it was written in an advertising tone. If you'd like to write an encyclopedic version, let me know and I'll delete/unprotect the page. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 15:28, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

page you deleted[edit]

I had a page on a company in Columbia, Maryland called Bowles Fluidics Corporation...it's a reasonably-sized company, holds several patents, and would fit in under a classification of Maryland businesses or automotive parts suppliers. I tried to make the tone neutral (I personally have no interest in the company apart from proximity,) and though it was rather short when you deleted it, there were some useful points coming in as I research it more (Main goal is to write about the area of Columbia and its features re: the field of engineering.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Janmcneville (talkcontribs)

It was deleted because it does not assert notability according to Wikipedia's standards, and it could also be viewed as advertising. Have a look at the notability guidelines and let me know if you still think Bowles qualifies. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 18:24, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Silliness[edit]

THINK before you delete articles about moustache enthusiasts. I'm not sure why moustaches aren't notable. So i guess you're the arbiter of good taste. We'll see about that. I'll be contacting your superiors.

Hahaha, my superiors! That's a good one! --Fang Aili talk 18:30, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

my article "A2K5 Inc."[edit]

u deleted my article several times and i posted the "hangon" tag and u still deleted my article before i could get the "talk" post up. if u could read that, i hope it can change your mind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xenton (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia is not for advertising, that is, not a place for people to check out what you have to offer. If you want something like that, you can get your own website. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 18:37, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

a2k5 inc[edit]

first off, i was not advertising, i have other sites for that, AND I HAVE WEB SITES FOR A2K5 INC, so do some research first before u jump to conclusions —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xenton (talkcontribs)

I can only repeat what I said before. Do you honestly think that linking to your website over and over doesn't constitute advertising? Wikipedia does not accept advertisments. It's really that simple. Thank you, Fang Aili talk 18:41, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

a2k5 inc...agian[edit]

how is it advertising if i link to my DIFFERENT web sites, every link i posted went to a completely separate one, i really don't understand how this is advertising when i am only saying what has happened throughout the course of my companies growth over the years...u have no right in deleting this kind of information when i have never had any intentions of advertising, even from the start —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xenton (talkcontribs)

Coaching kudos[edit]

Erica, a while ago, I had requested some pre-admin coaching, and you put me with User:Lar and User:Guinnog. I just wanted to drop a quick line to you and thank you for doing that...they were fantastic coaches, did a great job in getting me to think about things...in summary, perfect examples of what coaches should be. My RfA passed well, in big part I believe because of the work they put into me. So, a big thanks to you for all the hard work you put into making the program work. Deletion of Peel High School Chess Tournament page[edit]

Hi! You deleted the page "Peel High School Chess Tournament" which I created a few days ago - I dont really understand the reason of "not notable", as I disagree with your opinion on this. But regardless, I was wondering if you still had a copy of what I had written for my own use? Thanks! 74.96.209.232 00:06, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An idea to contemplate, please[edit]

你好 - Erica, I'm in the process of creating a boilerplate text for inviting others to WP:MUSINST. I'm not sure if it's appropriate, in good "wiki-form", or even allowed.... What are your thoughts about it? (The work-in-progress invite is here). Thanks! - NDCompuGeek 12:31, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When I created the figure skating project, I made this invitation. If I saw that a user editing figure skating articles a lot, I would drop them that template. I recommend you keep these things short and to the point, and don't use them a lot--just when you're pretty sure the user is interested in the subject matter and not just wiki-gnoming. You deleted my topic.[edit]

Why did you delete my topic it's not a story it really happened. It's not a story about me it's a story I was part of.

I can maybe change it a little to make it more convenient, but you can't just delete it you have to read it first...you deleted it like 30 seconds after I put it on.....NOT FAIR. You can't just delete it, you have to give a good reason or tell me how I can change it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bambinos (talkcontribs)

Clare Gervasoni[edit]

Hello there! I've contacted you because I discovered that you deleted the article Clare Gervasoni on May 24. The author, User:Gervo1865 ignored the speedy deletion and recreated the article two days later, and it hasn't been touched since. Clearly, this author is writing about herself.

I would tag the article myself, except I don't know how to do so properly - mainly because she may deserve an article, but your speedy deletion (I suppose on grounds of autobiography) suggests otherwise. Thanks in advance! Rob Lindsey 06:24, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You could use {{prod}}. Adding some supporting evidence on the talk page would help too. I don't have time to do the research right now, but try googling her to see if anything comes up. That would be a start. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 01:36, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you delete Kaplan and Princeton?[edit]

  • PowerScore
  • I put the most basic information about this company that was neutral and non-biased. I took a class with them and I think they deserve to be on there just as much as the 2 monopolies Kaplan and Princeton Review. PR's page is a shrine to them with 100 links to their page. Why haven't you deleted them? PowerScore's GMAT course was great and much better than a Kaplan course I took in PA. If you are going to delete them then go ahead and delete Kaplan and PR as well to be fair. Cloud900 18:19, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can propose to delete Kaplan and PR if you like, though I suggest you just go through and remove the spammy bits as you see fit. I honstly don't have time to go through those articles. Thank you, Fang Aili talk 17:29, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • That still does not answer my question as to why my page was deleted. I will propose to delete their pages, but it still does not justify the deletion of mine. If they have spam and advertising on theirs you should be looking to delete them as well in all fairness. I would like to post the PowerScore page again and know what parts I should not include then if you planned on deleting it once again. Please let me know what should be removed then. Thanks Cloud900 16:54, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was deleted because it could be considered advertising, and also it does not assert notability. An article about a company should say why it matters, not just what services they offer. Hi Fang Aili! FireText Text to Screen[edit]

You deleted my Page FireText Text Message to Screen from the categories Category:Microsoft Category:Software companies of Canada Category:Companies based in Edmonton

I worked really hard to make that page that you just deleted. I don't understand why I can't be listed along side http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Canadian_company_stubs all these other companies. FireText get's about 1000 inquiries a day with products being used in front of audiences of thousands. FireText is currently preparing for the Pan American Games and has supported numerous charities and causes world wide.

Deletion of Shockwave.com Wikipedia Page[edit]

The creation of the Shockwave.com Wikipedia page is merely to document the company's history, its connections within the multimedia industry and its contributions to the casual gaming industry. I haven't had the time to write out a thorough history of the company, but I just started today and, given more time, would like to add more to it. Please contact me to explain why you deleted the page. It really makes no sense to me considering how many companies connected to Shockwave.com have Wikipedia pages: Viacom, MTV Networks, Atom Entertainment, AtomFilms, Neopets.com, Nick.com, and so on.

Please contact me at krp538@yahoo.com.

Thank you.

I would say you have a point, but we generally do not accept articles from people who have a conflict of interest. From your username, I can assume you have some close connection to Shockwave. Thank you, Fang Aili talk 00:43, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So you deleted the 4 hours of work I put into starting that page based on your assumption that I have any connection with Shockwave. I'm a huge fan of Shockwave and their jigsaw puzzles, and this was the first time I have ever contributed anything to the Wikipedia so I had to pick a username and that was the first thing that came to mind. What if I was a huge fan of Paris Hilton and started my first Wikipedia page with the username HiltonSuperfan? Would you have deleted it thinking I was a relative of the Hilton family? Shouldn't you be reviewing content to determine whether or not it's suitable for the Wikipedia rather than making blatant, unfounded assumptions about the people who submit the content for making your decisions?

Question[edit]

What is it with you keep deleting my pages anyway. There are plenty of other pricing pages, why taget me? --User:DayToDie

It would help if you told me what you are talking about. --Fang Aili talk 03:39, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seem you have deleted the articles Pricing of Adobe software and Adobe software pricing. --User:DayToDie

Howdy, Wikipedia isn't for posting pricing tables. If you have some kind of context to the table, like why it matters to.. something.. then perhaps. But a pricing table belongs on Adobe's website, not Wikipedia. In the future, could you please put your comments at the bottom? And sign you name with four tildes, "~~~~". Cheers, Fang Aili talk 03:49, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Crumbumbling[edit]

Fang Aili,
You have deleted my entry entitled crumbumbling and would like to have permission, if I may, that it be kept up. As it says it was started in the premise of making new social constructs, including openess in communication using a variety of social codes. It is a new philosophy, but I hope to make it grow, as my intentions are the same as philosophers before me; to better understand life. The philosophy itself is represented in the patterns of culture, and it is self-evident, if posted, of the struggle and evolution of communication. The internet and Wikipedia are both ivolved in the ideal of Crumbumblolgy and I hope to spead the attention of these newfound great elements in culture. I'd be happy to talk privately if you'd like. Thank you!

Crumbumbling[edit]

Fang Aili,
It intrigues me that your link should actually say leave a nice comment and your returns comments are quite rude and without merit. No offense of course, it seems to be a mere miscommunication. You think I'm playing games but I assure you my interests are sincere. I'm quite distraught that you would automatically write me off without actually inquiring further for your doubts. I find it quite inconsiderate, and would like to apoligize if I give you the impression that I'm playing games. I know my ealier posts were odd, but I didn't realize the publishing feature until after the ordeal. I request that you at least think about what I have to say. I'm a 20 year old student studying to be a therapist and I have been inspired after a lot of searching to start talking about something I think is important. The origin of the word is comprised of "Crum," and "Bumble," which are representative of the systematic breaking down of subjects into causational elements, and to bumble through these elements as history has showed us to find answers by trial and error. The use of such a nature should inevitably lead us to a superior, and hopefully ultimate method of communication, which leads to progress. You may still think I'm kidding, but this is a serious discussion that has brought me to a point where I want to bring this idea out in the public that is supposed to comprise it. If you think that's ridiculous, you should hear how hair-brained it was in it's larval stage. I am completely willing to conform this message however it needs to to meet ceratin standards, it is still new. I earnestly do not mean to offend you or create any offense issue, this is something I've though about. Maybe there's something to it. I want to know. Thank you.

deleted yet another article...[edit]

Sir, It seems you've just deleted my article on 'wikiphobia', just a moment after I entered it. Can you please explain? Your history of deleting articles (as logged in your talk page) is both troublesome and curious.

Wikiphobia is an internet slang word, which my article states in its first line of text. There is no pretext of an official mental disorder as defined by a body of mental health professionals. It is a widely used phenomenon. It would seem you deleted my article in less time than most humans could read it (I believe it's Time To Live was under a minute or very close).

Can you please explain your reason for deleting it or restore the content? chrishibbard7

You may not realize this, but Wikipedia receives hundreds, perhaps thousands of new articles per day. Many of them are deleted on the spot because they do not meet our guidelines for inclusion. I do a lot of new article "patrol".
"Wikiphobia" is a neologism. Such words are rarely included here. It could also be considered "made up", meaning it also doesn't belong here. Please see the following pages for details on these guidelines:

Just noticed[edit]

Fang Aili,
I also just noticed your message to not create it again. It probably made me seem like a jerk for ignoring that, but I just noticed it. Sorry about that. Also, I brushed up on the terms of notability and nonsense. While I can argue it's not nonsense, I know I lack terms of notability, other than several other people (yes, friends, family, teachers, pastors) that I've discussed it with. I know that doesn't meet terms of use, but I just wanted to apoligize for my ignorance on the issue. I will continue my effort to make this information notable, and hopefully get something posted about it. Sorry for the confusion.

--Danharper1 04:34, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Dan. I didn't mean to offend you. Sometimes I'll run into pranksters who have their nonsense deleted, and then try to defend it in a sort of playful and quasi-eloquent way. They are bored and are trying to entertain themselves. I took you for one of those people--sorry about that. You are correct about your article. Once you are a famous philosopher and have made Crumbumbling famous, then I'm sure it will make its way to the Wiki. Thank you and have a great day. (And just a friendly hint--learn the difference between its and it's. This will serve you well--I promise.) --Fang Aili talk 13:25, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
