December 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Centrify Corporation, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Triwbe (talk) 06:45, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Centrify Corporation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello. (please be sure to follow all the blue links in this message) The downside of being the encyclopedia that anyone can edit is that there are rules, regulations, and policies that must be followed. There is a popular misunderstanding that Wikipedia is a B2B directory or a registry of all companies. It is not, and there exists already a plethora of such web sites. Whilst Wikipedia editors assume good faith, it is difficult to assume that a corporate entry is not going to generate interest that will ultimately result in increased sales. The Wikipedia is operated by unpaid volunteers, and it is therefore not their purpose to provide any assistance to corporate entities, especially ones that claim to be large and wealthy and which can benefit from advertising in traditional 'paid for ' channels. That said, all Wikipedia entries are subject to two strict, fundamental core policies: notability and verifiability. Many truly notable subjects do not appear in Wikipedia simply because they are unable to provide reliable sources that prove the claims they make. At least four Wikipedians (two experienced editors, two administrators) have decided that Centrify Corporation does not meet these requirements, may we suggest that you prepare a new article in your user space that is freely available to you for this purpose, and request a review from an editor when you feel it is ready for publication to mains space. Please follow the links in this message before doing so, and this this one too. Thank you for your comprehension. --Kudpung (talk) 01:26, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
