Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cheerleaders ipl.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cheerleaders ipl.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. The Caste system in Indian Christianity article features details about castes in Roman catholicism heavily. If this is indeed a well-defined and studied community, we would have reliable sources that discussed the community directly. There aren't any mentioned in the article. May I suggest you create a draft at User:Gururaj 007/Roman Catholic Brahmin, search for references that talk about the community itself, and when you have found them and work on draft in such a way that till it satisfies WP:V and WP:N? --Relata refero (disp.) 07:14, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Being an administrator[edit]

I am sorry I cannot help you much in this regard. There aren't any "tricks" or "tips" for being an administrator. You ought to have a lot of experience and a thorough knowledge of Wikipedia policies and guidelines and the way the various processes work. But the basic criteria for becoming an administrator is that you should not indulge in advertisement or propaganda. See: WP:NPOV. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Besides being a copyright violation, you also redirected another sourced article to this page without discussion. Copyright problem: Last Man Stands[edit]

This article was created by copying and then minimally revising content from other sources. Two of these are external sites ([1], [2])(, and the third is another Wikipedia article Twenty20.

When it comes to using external sites, we can only freely copy content if it is verifiably public domain or compatibly licensed. In that case, we can take as much content as we want, but to avoid plagiarism must acknowledge that we are copying in compliance with Wikipedia:Plagiarism. When external sites are copyrighted and not compatibly licensed - this is the case with most websites, including both of these - we cannot copy content freely. We can use brief, clearly marked quotations for good reasons, but otherwise must put the information into our own words and structure. See Wikipedia:Copy-paste.

Content can be copied from other Wikipedia articles. These are not public domain, but are compatibly licensed. However, we cannot legally do so without providing attribution to the original authors. The procedure for doing this is explained at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

Unless the publishers of the websites used grand permission, this article will need to be rewritten if it is to be retained. The template currently blanking the article provides a link to the space where this rewrite should take place under "Can you help resolve this issue?" Rewriting should be done from "scratch" to avoid creating a derivative work.
