Historical portraits[edit]

Hi. Thanks for adding portraits to the Malcolm II of Scotland and Macbeth, King of Scotland. Could you please caption these images (and make it clear on their image pages where these images come from?

This essay here has useful suggestions about adding portrayals of historical figures to Wikipedia. As it explains, it's important to explain where they come from, because historical predictions can be inaccurate or even highly fanciful. The reader needs this context. While their representation in later years may be relevant within the article. posthumous images are not favoured in info boxes, which should be factual.

answer to your question[edit]

Hi. I reverted your edit to Help talk:Notifications because that's not the place to ask questions. You should have posted to the Teahouse, linked above. In answer to your question, the material you added was deleted because you did not provide adequate sourcing. The most important thing on Wikipedia is verifiability and you cannot make assertions without showing us where published reliable sources back up what you typed. Further, you built from a redirect and wrongly so. If that page was redirected, it was for a reason and you should have asked about it on Talk:Iclingas. Editors there probably would have told you that Cnebba was not notable. New editors often try to start a new article but that's always a bad idea, as there is a learning curve involved in editing here. If you need further explanation, please ask at the Teahouse.
