Jesus Culture[edit]

The article is on my watchlist and it's likely that any removal of content you make will be reverted, particularly when you don't explain why or when you can't support it with a policy or guideline. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:09, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Walter - I have made it very clear why John F. MacArthur's personal and theological views don't belong in the article in this section except under the controversy section - there are other more respected and better qualified theologans to cite as disagreeing with Jesus Culture but their inclusion would be inappropriate as well - read my previous reasonings on this matter, and don't be so recalcitrant. May 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Jesus Culture. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges.

Stop removing valid content. Your opinion is just that. If you want it removed, start a discussion on the talk page as to why it should be removed and see other forms of consensus building. Your constant, ignorant removal is unconstructive, disruptive and does not help to build an encyclopedia. Walter Görlitz (talk) 02:45, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Jesus Culture that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. In the edit comment you suggested that I "show your passion for all things MaCarthur". I dislike MaCarthur and I think all cessationists are ignorant and don't understand scripture. There are few things I dislike more, but editors who remove referenced material that other editors have cooperated to create are certainly on that list. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:03, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thanks for the reply, Walter Görlitz. - I am very civil. My comment references my confusion over your own incessant actions of adding to this section of biography MacArthur's personal viewpoint of the "character" of the group, believing it simply does not belong there. Note: your comments of me being "ignorant" and "unconstructive" are not particularly civil in nature, if that is a concern.... not wishing to call you hypocriticalHriver (talk) 13:59, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly are not reading what is written. When you discuss someone's actions in an edit summary, it's inappropriate.
As for MacArthur, he represents a larger group. I'm sorry you don't understand that. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:58, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of British artists appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 08:18, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
