Moves and Articles

You shouldn't turn an existing article into a redirect and then re-create the article under a new title. That is what the Move function is for. It preserves the edit history, which is very important. When there is an article about the book, the film might well need to be moved to a new title, but by the correct procedure. Please seek consensus on the relevant talk page before moving or performing any other major action to an established article. Moonlighting

I think you would find the film to be far better known now than the book. Fair or not, that's the way things go. If you are doing an article on the book, make it on a subpage in your userspace, and then ask for advice. Try someone like Boing! said Zebedee, or Salvio Giuliano, or Fae, or MelanieN. (I won't be around much for a while...) They're all fair-minded and helpful. Most regular editors and admins are - just look on someone's talk page and you'll get quite a good idea.
