Image tagging for Image:Yak-141.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Yak-141.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Minor edits[edit]

Please take a look at Help:Minor edit. The purpose of having minor edits is so that others can recognize whether something substantial or that needs checking was added to or changed in an article, and tagging non-trivial edits as minor defeats its purpose. If you are adding non-trivial information to an article, such as in sentences, it is not a minor edit. Also, please cite your sources when adding information to articles. —Centrxtalk • 04:53, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Archive, don't delete[edit]

Just some helpful and friendly advice here...

Instead of deleting/removing comments that you have acknowledged on your user talk page, archive them. This tells other Wikipedians that you aren't ignoring the comments (even though everything is still preserved in the page's history). lightsup55 ( T | C ) 23:04, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting vandalism on Guitar Hero (video game)[edit]

Thank you for reverting vandalism in Guitar Hero (video game).

I noticed that you warned Climbingkid16 about his/her recent vandalism in the said article, however, this and other comments should go on the user's talk page located at User_talk:Climbingkid16. lightsup55 ( T | C ) 23:21, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Jaganath! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Photo usage[edit]

Hi, I'm working on an educational videogame with which I'm trying to build a bridge between animal awareness and Pokemon fans among others. It started out as something small but it's getting bigger and more professional. I saw one of your pictures: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Long-beakedEchidna.jpg

And I would like your permission to use it under that license with the following attribution: Jaganath, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jaganath

Also, because I want to make sure there's no misunderstanding, you are the original photographer correct? It sometimes happens that another person simply takes a picture from somebody else and uploads it to wikipedia with a license to distribute. That is why I'm asking.

There is more information on the game here, including a short video that tells a little bit about the background: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/238178285/animalalbum

I also have a demo version of the game available so you can see for yourself in what way the pictures are presented: http://dromedarydreams.com/index/demo/0-8

Please let me know if I have your permission, if the picture is yours and if you want a different attribution.

With kind regards, Sjors Jansen (all.animalalbum@gmail.com) Garfunkel Jansen (talk) 18:43, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
