Copying content from MemoryAlpha

[edit]

Kaluriel, you seem to be lifting articles from MemoryAlpha and copying them to wikipedia. I certainly appreciate your contributing to the encyclopedia, but this may not be the best way of doing it. Much of this may be deleted as excessively detailed information (fancruft), which means your work would go for nought. Just a thought.--Kchase T 08:48, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Correction: This is all going to be deleted because it is a copyright violation of Memory Alpha. Please stop. KillerChihuahua?!? 23:20, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Barge_of_the_dead.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

John Chapman (bantender)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on John Chapman (bantender), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why John Chapman (bantender) is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:John Chapman (bantender). Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. -- Merope 17:21, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Manscy.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Manscy.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:06, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Lexx image uploaded

[edit]

Hi, I know it's been over a year since your last and in the long long shot you will read this, a number of the image you'd uploaded a public domain are in fact television screenshots. The copyright is not ultimately with you to decide; it is with the company that made the images. As such, Image:TheLexxFires.jpg, Image:Lexx 790.jpg, Image:Lexx Giggerota.jpg, Image:Devine Precessors.jpg, Image:Lexx Lyekka.jpg all require fairuse rationales or they will be deleted. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 05:15, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lexx Giggerota.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lexx Giggerota.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:20, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lexx

[edit]

The Lexx article received heavy editing today by new/unregistered users, which I noticed at WikiRage.com. The article may benefit from a good review. According to Wikipedia Page History Statistics, you are one of the top contributors to that page. If you have the time, would you please read over the article and make any necessary changes. Thanks. -- Jreferee (Talk) 08:34, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Gigashadow.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gigashadow.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:53, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Divine Order has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is so out of context I can barely determine what it is. It appears to be an orphaned article about a minor fictional religion in a minor fictional setting(?) so I am proposing it for deletion as such seems entirely non-controversial.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pstanton (talk) 01:22, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Divine Predecessor for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Divine Predecessor is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Divine Predecessor until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. TTN (talk) 15:41, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
