A tag has been placed on Shooting at the 2010 Commonwealth Games - Women's 50 metre rifle three positions pairs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Commonwealth nav boxes

What a funny bit of team work! Thanks for helping out. SFB 15:24, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Just had an initial stab at the shooting nav but it is massive. I'm going to try to divide the shooting events by sex to resolve it... SFB 15:41, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Done. That's about as short as it will get unless we combine the singles and pairs competitions into on event article per firearm event type? I know very little about sports shooting so I'll leave it as it is at the moment. SFB 16:00, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Men's CEV Champions League 2009–10. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Trafford09 (talk) 15:48, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Hey, i made an edit there at April 2010 and now i get a message about adding an edit summary? What? Kante4 (talk) 17:01, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

My mistake. Let's use 2010 AFC Champions League knockout stage instead - same point. I'll watch your page here, if you want to discuss further. Trafford09 (talk) 19:32, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, i mostly just forget to write an edit summary. Will try to remember that now! Kante4 (talk) 19:35, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:2010 AFC Champions League Final Logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:2010 AFC Champions League Final Logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Tip of the day...

Please summarize your work using the Edit summary box

If you make anything other than a minor edit to an article, it helps others if you fill in the edit summary. Edit summaries are visible in the page history, watchlists, and on Recent changes, so they help other users keep track of what is happening to a page.

If you use section editing, the summary box is filled in with the section heading by default (in gray text), which you can follow with more detail. You also can put links to articles in the edit summary. Just put double brackets around [[the article title]] like you would normally. The summary is limited to 255 characters, so many people use common abbreviations, such as sp for correcting spelling mistakes, rm for remove, ce for copy-edit, etc.

Athletics medal tables

Hi Kante! I just noticed your work on Athletics at the 2010 Asian Games. In future, you can save yourself time if you like by using some of the blank templates I have in user space (e.g. User:Sillyfolkboy/Resources/Competition (no details)). I find that it helps speed things up and ensures consistency of style, as well as following Wikipedia's Manual of Style too. Cheers! SFB 11:40, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you meant to do this, but I've declined Motorola DCT2000's speedy deletion. It's got too much content for that. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 11:47, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Robot Boys

Hello Kante4, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I deleted Robot Boys, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided. The speedy deletion criteria are extremely narrow and specific, and the process is more effective if the correct criterion is used. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. The WordsmithCommunicate 05:15, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to 2011 Central American Cup. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Trafford09 (talk) 14:45, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Just a reminder

CSD for "no context" and "no content" isn't appropriate if the "empty" article was created only moments ago. Some people like to save the page name before adding substantial content, and we don't want newbies scared off by edit conflicts and unnecessary deletion warnings. In the case of User:Ufpete, that "no content" article is now a quite a nice article at Uterine serpin. WhatamIdoing (talk) 01:11, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Patrolling BLP articles

Hi there, please do not mark new BLP articles as being patrolled as being OK if they are completely unreferenced, as you did here. Article creators MUST be informed that UBLPs are no longer acceptable. Regards, The-Pope (talk) 11:53, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Semi wiki-markup

I hope you doesn't use semi wiki-markup, like this '''[[Lee Chong Wei]], although this is work, but it not mean it can work in the future. Thank you. --Aleenf1 16:33, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Of course it is shaking-up the database, but use a full-markup can avoid future HTML correction. Look at good point. --Aleenf1 04:28, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Women's Handball EC Squads

Hello Kante!

I see you have removed they players who have been replaced after the first group phase. However, I think they should remain on the list as they were officially selected and played few or more minutes on the EC. Thehoboclown (talk) 22:10, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the quick answer. If you don't mind, I will re-add them, just to be historically correct. Thehoboclown (talk) 22:29, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Ok, lets keep it in but can you at least fix it so that it looks like what i put? It just needs more details than "heats".Philipmj24 (talk) 14:36, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Take a look at what I did with the men's 200 m freestyle, that looks really good.Philipmj24 (talk) 14:44, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
For the relays, why don't you put split times?Philipmj24 (talk) 17:51, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
You (and I) then need to change the "Nationality" field to Nation. An individual isn't going to be of United States nationality. They are American. You see what I mean? It doens't make sense.Philipmj24 (talk) 18:11, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
I'm putting "Country" not nation. Sorry for the confusion.Philipmj24 (talk) 18:14, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Spengler Cup

Normally, I would, but there's really no need for that, as it's already there to begin with! I've noticed that leaving the Score field blank also hides the 'Show' effect in the lower right-hand side of that match's area. Putting the ndash tag in there shows it. Trust me, it took some trial and error for me to figure out as well.

I get the fact that you're trying to set this up the right way (no problem with that! :-P).

One thing I don't get - since the Spengler Cup page is in both English and German, I thought someone would have set up a German version of the Wiki page of the tournament. Strange. Caperspark (talk) 16:52, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

I can live with it, I guess. Who knows? I might even get used to it. Still don't like the time where the score should be when the Score area is left blank, but... I guess you can't do one thing without affecting another. Caperspark (talk) 18:43, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Already 2-0 HC Davos in this one. They're looking good so far. Caperspark (talk) 19:37, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
The British Eurosport announcers are saying that SKA St. Petersburg are the favourites here, but I'm not so sure. Team Canada (my team, obviously!) and HC Davos are always strong in this tournament. Caperspark (talk) 19:43, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

World Juniors 2011

Nice to see Germany finally getting on the board. That first period was rough!

BTW, the TSN.ca online feed should be available where you are. It's not available in Finland, Sweden, Russia and the U.S. Lucky me, I get to watch it on TV here (I'm actually Canadian ;-) ).

Yeah, just the Canada matches unfortunately. However, the knockout stage will be available online. Caperspark (talk) 18:47, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Wow, the IIHF was serious when they were talking about cracking down on head shots. That's been a big concern over here, especially in the NHL. Caperspark (talk) 19:09, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
I guess so. It's because the IIHF ticker is all we're gonna get on this match, as it's not being televised. Caperspark (talk) 19:09, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
http://www.iihf.com/fileadmin/user_upload/PDF/2011WM20_FinalTVSchedule.pdf - That's the link for the TV sked for this year's World Juniors tournament, if ya need it! Caperspark (talk) 19:10, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Damn, the Germans almost pulled off a huge comeback. That first period was just too much. Caperspark (talk) 20:01, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Spengler Cup, Day 2

Now THAT is how tournament hockey should be played! Great opening match of the day, and a great victory by Geneve-Servette.

Now, it's time for my countrymen to take out Spartak Moscow later today. Caperspark (talk) 16:21, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

It looked like they made Hasek regret his decision to come back. It was just complete domination. I expect their next match against Davos to be much closer, a one-goal game. Caperspark (talk) 13:28, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Spengler Cup, Day 3

OK. As you know, my editing style is a tad different than yours. We're Canadian... we're crazy like that!;-P

Anyhoo, the St. Petersburg penalty-killing has been absolutely LETHAL today! They must have had six good scoring chances by my count on the PK alone in this match, capitalizing once. Caperspark (talk) 15:35, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

4-1 now. Weinhandl just scored a PPG. Caperspark (talk) 16:04, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Yup. It was almost too easy for St. Petersburg today. They'll wait until Thursday to find out who they get next. Caperspark (talk) 16:12, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
