Citing own blog posts[edit]

Hi Lisa! It's great that you're adding referenced contributions to a number of articles (such as History of iOS jailbreaking, iOS jailbreaking, and Cydia), but it looks like you're mostly adding content that references articles you've written. There are a couple concerns with this kind of edit. First, this seems to be a conflict of interest - see Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest#Citing_oneself: "Using material you yourself have written or published is allowed within reason, but only if it is relevant and conforms to the content policies, particularly WP:SELFPUB. Excessive self-citation is strongly discouraged." Second, the references seem to not be Wikipedia:Verifiability#Reliable_sources - they are blogs not recognized as established/expert sources. I would recommend avoiding citing your own posts, and instead citing reliable sources, as explained on that policy page. Thanks! Dreamyshade (talk) 09:25, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
