Help with election results required

Hi. I noticed that you made this edit to Results breakdown of the United Kingdom general election, 2010 to account for the speaker votes in the general election. The speaker and Conservative votes don't seem to add up to the figure given by the BBC any longer, so I wondered if you could take a look at the figures? Cordless Larry (talk) 14:59, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

I think I've fixed this myself but I'd appreciate it if you could double-check my maths! Cordless Larry (talk) 15:20, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I'm glad I got it right! Cordless Larry (talk) 13:05, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Protection Command

Ninety - greetings! Originally the paragraph implied that there was something of a special jurisdiction issue for SO14 outside the MPD in E&W so just thought I'd ensure that the paragraph read right re England & Wales. Interesting re CNC. I shall await a further update... Regards Dibble999 (talk) 15:33, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

RNLI lifeguards beach RIBs

Hi. Do you think RNLI lifeguards beach RIBs should be categorised under commons Category:RNLI lifeboats by class ? See File:RNLI lifeguards RIB, Treyarnon Bay.jpg which shows RIB numbered RNLIA-39. RNLI seem to call them "Arancia inshore rescue boat".[1] Thanks. Rwendland (talk) 23:17, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the feedback. I initially only joined because Brocach had ensured that anyone searching for 'Christy Walsh' would only find Christy Walsh (hurler), with that issue now resolved -I couldn't be bothered beyond this. Though you might keep an eye on Brocach from time to time, as guardian of Monica McWilliams and NIHRC pages --only the good stuff is premitted with warts removed. Signing out. Put it back!

Please restore my Palda records article. Your rational was completely false, as they are not a recording artist, they were a record label.— Preceding unsigned comment added by JoseFritz (talkcontribs)

Again, you've come to my page demanding I "put it back". This now two years and eight months after the article was tagged for deletion. I'm not an administrator, and as I did not delete the article I cannot restore it even if I wanted to. I suggest you ask the deleting admin, User:Hersfold, if he would be able to restore it to your userspace for you. ninety:one 10:52, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Erick Mason

Hello Ninetyone. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Erick Mason, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 21:24, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Stephen Lloyd

My basis for the edit to Stephen Lloyd was not that simply I did not like it; I can assure you I am a better editor than that. My basis was that the particular sentence, the subject being Lib Dem controversy, was not suitable for a page about one individual Lib Dem who had toed the initial party line, thereby avoiding controversy. For the record I am not a Lib Dem nor am I one of Mr Lloyd's constituents. Cooltrainer Hugh (talk) 00:50, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Indeed, in hindsight I can see why you might think it necessary for inclusion. BTW, sorry if I sounded a bit angry or short with my previous post. Cooltrainer Hugh (talk) 13:55, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

The phrase "military police" has four quite different meanings, so we try not to use it in international contexts. In the conext in which it appears it is being used in that category, we use "military provost", which has the same meaning as "military police" in English, but seems to work worldwide, and for this we use Category:Military provosts. Perhaps you would be able to remove Category:Military police by country? ninety:one (reply on my talk) 16:53, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

"Provost" has the meaning as a military policeman or officer, but not as an agency. Therefore, it's a little bit confusing... GiW (talk) 17:23, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

If there is long term uncited content in a BLP and someone comes along and removes that template and leaves the uncited content without any template I am quite in my rights to remove it. Off2riorob (talk) 19:41, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

I declined the PROD here, the specific call out of First Ladies at WP:NOTINHERITED may or may not be enough to prove notability, but it's (IMHO) at least enough to suggest this (at least) needs an AfD instead. Sorry for what may turn out to be another lap around the track, have a great weekend! --je deckertalk to me 16:23, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Office of Public Safety

I'm at a loss as to why you would make changes to completely accurate historic data. How can you simply delete the motto, budget info, etc. of an agency that we worked for? Is this because one or two persistent vandals suddenly decided to vandalize this article after it has been here for a substantial amount of time? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Copper 9022 (talkcontribs) 01:00, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Hello, there

Well, I'm working in an answer to Law enforcement in Brazil article.Without any kind of passion or retaliation.Just give me a few months, I'm talking with a comisioner, a lawyer and a prosecutor. I need to talk with the correct cooperators to write an adequate wikipedia standards article.

Regards,

That'd be great - so long as it's in line with our policies and guidelines on verifiability and neutral points of view, it'll be good. I would just caution you about saying things like "I'm talking with ... a lawyer and a prosecutor" here - you never know; someone might possibly interpret that as a legal threat if they read it the wrong way! Just a friendly word of advice, not telling you off or anything! ninety:one (reply on my talk) 23:37, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

OOPS!!! I'm apologise.I was trying to say "They are teach me how write an article with my point of view and respecting the Brazilian constitution, the rules of english and portuguese language, the ethics," et cetera. But, thanks for your friendy advice.I will police myself in the future. Regards.

Hayley Leggs (and other alumni)

I'm aware of the asinine rules, I've just decided to stop caring. I gave up fighting last June when Michelle Cheung et al. got pulled from the alumni list for non-assertion of notability, by someone who clearly hadn't bothered to check. Just asking Google will show that Michelle went to the school, was ranked at least 3rd in the country at one point, yadda yadda yadda. But the sources won't be good enough, I'm sure. In this particular instance I asked Facebook, but I'm sure Hayley herself saying that she went there won't be acceptable. Thedarxide (talk) 09:49, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

My intention was not to remove the tags (that was a mistake, as was restoring the diatribe whcih I noticed) but to restore the balance by restoring those external links which were critical of the Ombudsman leaving only those in his favour.
