Notice to Guitarist Project members[edit]

An Admin, unfamiliar with the project, has nominated our template-Template:Guitarist infobox-for deletion. I have added a vote to keep it...more would help. Anger22 12:16, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ortzinator. I noticed you stopped by the Genpet article and left a {{cleanup}} tag. If you get a chance, could you please leave some comments at Talk:Genpet as to what improvements the page needs? Your opinions and time would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Satori Son 13:13, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re: SRV chat[edit]

When I gave that a quick read it sounded more like a post from a teen chat room. It was edging towards breaking the "talk about the article, not the subject" Wiki-rule for talk pages so I figured it could be cleaned out. Either way it's harmless and can stick. Cheers and take care! Anger22 16:20, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ortzinator, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Source melon drag.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Ortzinator. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 19:26, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania in Atlanta![edit]

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 01:25, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Grammar Nazi[edit]

Hi. You were one of the editors discussing whether or not the article grammar nazi would qualify for a move to Wikitionary or its deletion. I made a proposal in the article's discussion if you're interested in participating. --76.214.226.199 05:25, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:GretchenCorbett.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GretchenCorbett.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:03, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Select Survey Invite[edit]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Your survey Link: https://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_4PkQh5rrj8sE2IR&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 12:34, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
