Hi

I just noticed a change in a reference you made to House Swapping.

The reference was changed from an easy to read single page article to an ad loaded multiple page article with a least 6 times the number of ads.

Could you please comment as to why you made the change. Darrell_Greenwood (talk) 22:08, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Darrell,
Thanks for the catch. I've already reverted this one and in going back throughmy other work to make sure I'm doing this right. I apprecite the feedback. My goal in making these changes was to point to links that won't disappear or go behind a paywall. I may have gotten ahead of myself on some of them. Here's the idea though, I changed link (on Glendale Galleria):

Appreciate your help and guidance on this.
My best wishes <3,

Thanks very much for the reply. I am glad to hear that your edits were made in good faith. Sampling your edits I noticed that most of your edits seem to be changing from www.sfgate.com to articles.sfgate.com. Those edits where I examined both sites, appeared to be better off left with www.sfgate.com. The example I used in my query on the Village Pump http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(miscellaneous)#www.sfgate.com_vs_articles.sfgate.com is where a single page with a photo is split into 13 pages with no photo and excessive advertising. Based on this it would seem that www.sfgate.com is a better site to use. Darrell_Greenwood (talk) 22:34, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
