December 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to The Co-operative Insurance has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. لennavecia 14:40, 1 December 2008 (UTC) [reply]

Llwch![edit]

Rubisco

I've reverted your edit to List of lochs of Scotland since 'llwch' is indeed the older word for lake in Welsh and is cognate with the similar words found in Scottish and Irish Gaelic (but not cognate with 'llyn' - the modern Welsh word for 'lake'). It also happens to be the word for dust in Welsh - though technically it is actually a different word which happens to have the same spelling. Llyn y Fan Fawr for example was formerly known as Llwch Tawe - and is referred to as such in the Mabinogion. Thought I'd explain the reversion so you don't think I'm just being awkward. cheers Geopersona (talk) 17:33, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your explanation at List of lochs of Scotland is a useful one. thanks Geopersona (talk) 18:12, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
