Welcome[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (films) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted.

A tag has been placed on Billa The Next Generation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 20:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An article about this future film has already been deleted after a deletion debate, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Billa 2, because it is Wikipedia's policy, explained at WP:NFF, that a film should not have its own article until it has been confirmed by reliable sources that principal photography has started. The article Billa 2 has been made into a redirect pointing to the article about the 2007 film, and protected to prevent re-creation until the film is sufficiently advanced. Your edits to Vishnuvardhan (director) and Billa (2007 film) removed material and references, which I have restored; please do not remove them again. JohnCD (talk) 21:06, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Kangeyan.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kangeyan.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:26, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Hi. In order for references in a Wikipedia article to be displayed properly, there needs to be a section at the end of the article that goes:

==References==
{{reflist}}

or alternatively:

==References==
<references/>

Every time you have edited an article lately, you have removed those, with the result that the references do not display properly and red warning messages appear instead. Please leave those lines intact when you edit an article. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:55, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Kangeyan[edit]

I have nominated Kangeyan, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kangeyan. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. JohnCD (talk) 11:17, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits[edit]

Once again your edits just now to Ajith Kumar removed the reference list, links and categories from the end of the article, and left it looking like this with a red warning at the bottom. If you want to add a line to a table, you can insert it without removing everything that comes after. When you have made a change, please press "Show preview" to check that the result looks right, and if you see red warnings like this do not press "Save page" until you have sorted the problem out: you can experiment and use "Show preview" again until it is right. Your uploads[edit]

Good day. I see that you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. First off, thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, there are some guidelines that we need to follow with copyrighted images. Specifically, you need to add a source for the image (a link to a website will do), a copyright tag (there are some listed at WP:ICT), and a rationale explaining why we can use a copyrighted image (explained at WP:NFURG). I see that your images fail to include one of these. Please stop uploading images and address the concerns listed above. If you need assistance, you can ask at the help desk. If you do not fix these images, and you continue to make bad uploads, you will be blocked and your images will be deleted. Thanks for your contributions! Orphaned non-free image (File:Rock Band Logo.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Rock Band Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 18:05, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Deported (upcoming film)[edit]

The article Deported (upcoming film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable upcoming film, does not meet WP:NFF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
