Getting Started[edit]

Dear Science Star: Welcome (again)! I am always happy to see more people who are interested in math and science participating in Wikipedia as editors. Following (clicking on) the links in the Welcome message at the top of this page, and reading the material there, is the best way to learn about Wikipedia. It is usually best to start by editing a few existing articles before writing one from scratch.—Finell 06:00, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

(moved from my talk page) Hi Dear Finell! Thanks for welcoming me. As you said I'm interested in math and science, are you also interested in them? Which science is your favourite? But I have a little problem, I'll be glad if you could help me! If you can't help me, that's OK. Best regards, Science star--Science Star (talk) 06:14, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose modern physics (relativity, quantum mechanics, and articles that involve those areas like Speed of light) and science history are my favorite areas in science, but I dabble in a lot of areas. Two of my interests are making technical articles more accessible to general readers, to the extent feasible (it depends on the article), and keeping nonsense out of Wikipedia. I also do quite a bit of copy editing, in science and other areas. I got started editing Wikipedia when I came here to look up information, and saw writing that could be improved (grammar, syntax, style). I've been an editor in the real world, so that comes naturally to me.
Please explain what specific problems you are having, and I will try to help. Have you read the material linked in the Welcome message?—Finell 06:43, 5 March 2010 (UTC) (To preserve the continuity of the conversation, I will watch for your reply, if any, here on your Talk page)[reply]

Thank you![edit]

Hi Immunize! Hi Finnel! Thanks for the welcome message. I'm very happy I have friends like you. Do you accept me as your friend? Best wishes, --Science Star (talk) 06:22, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the note that you left for Immunize. You might like to read Wikipedia:Your first article. WhatamIdoing (talk) 06:43, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Physics Club[edit]

Dear Finnel, I'm in physics club. We have a festival in our school after two weeks, I'm asked to make a device or something related to physics. But I have no idea what to do? Can you help me? --Science Star (talk) 06:51, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that you were asking for help editing Wikipedia. There are tons of resources on the Internet for science projects. It depends more on what you are interested in than anything else. I'm not a science fair coach.—Finell 21:16, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Links you might find helpful[edit]

These links should be helpful to you, as they include information needed to cite reliable sources, discuss the core policies of Wikipedia, discuss how to use the talk pages, how to write articles, and, on the most basic level, how to edit a page. Happy editing! Immunize (talk) 15:26, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
