Warning vandals[edit]

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. I'm very tired of User talk:Nicolerichiefan screwing up the ANTM articles. I hope that if someone other than me gives her (him?) a warning it might help a little bit. Eatcacti (talk) 20:52, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Generally, you leave a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. I've done it a couple of times. Click "edit" under User-reported and it tells you how to do it. However this probably would fall more under WP:Three-revert rule and should be reported there. But I don't know if it's quite reached that level yet. Honestly I find the whole process of reporting people to be frustrating and confusing. Eatcacti (talk) 21:25, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

November 2007[edit]

Please do not add defamatory content to Wikipedia, as you did to America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9. If you would like to experiment please use the sandbox. Thank you. Tiptoety (talk) 04:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Responded on my talk page. Tiptoety (talk) 04:32, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

November, 2007[edit]

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you! Undoing edits[edit]

Hello. Please be careful when you undo edits, as you did to America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9. A source for Lisa's last name was provided prior to the edit you had undone, in another section, and I had added two sources to ensure that edits would not be undone again. Thanks! August 2008[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on America's Next Top Model, Cycle 11. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Toddst1 (talk) 23:19, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
