Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Soothe Healthcare", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a username change that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Wdchk (talk) 12:03, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I also noticed that your user page may not be appropriate to be indexed by external search engines as presently written. Typically, this could be because it appears promotional, or contains material in development or archived that doesn't yet meet policies and guidelines. I have tagged this page as {{NOINDEX}}, which allows editing but minimizes the page's inclusion in search engine results.

If you believe that your userpage does not violate our guidelines, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. As an alternative, you may add {{db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, you can change the page so that it more clearly meets Wikipedia guidelines, or you can edit it as normal and ignore the tag completely (it will not affect editing).

However, please do not remove the tag without discussion. Thank you. Wdchk (talk) 12:26, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

--Soothe Healthcare (talk) 07:18, 10 September 2014 (UTC) 1. I have requested for a change in Username since you mentioned a violation of username policy.--Soothe Healthcare (talk) 07:18, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

--Soothe Healthcare (talk) 07:18, 10 September 2014 (UTC) 2. As for the user page which you have said appears promotional, it's similar to pages created for Unicharm or Johnson & Johnson. As far as possible, I have attempted to link the material to external sources and not our internal communication material (e.g. annual reports or websites etc.). I would appreciate it if you can let me know how I can have this article conform to policy while retaining the content. Thank you. --Soothe Healthcare (talk) 07:18, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response. The two pages you mention are articles and the point of concern is that a user page should not look like an article. Articles are subject to Wikipedia's editing processes in a way that user pages are not. Your efforts to find independent sources, and to create an article that meets Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, are commendable. However, if your main goal is to create an article for a company, and you have a close relationship with that company (particularly if you are paid to represent the company), you have a conflict of interest. This means that the Wikipedia community considers that you are not the right person to be writing the article. It does not mean you are unwelcome. The best advice I can give you is to become thoroughly familiar with the conflict of interest guideline. You might feel that this is a lot of information, and you would be right – it's a difficult topic. Plain and simple conflict of interest guide is also very useful. (Just be aware that this is an essay, not a policy or guideline. If you find anything in an essay that does not appear to agree with the relevant policy or guideline, it is the policy or guideline that takes precedence.)
