January 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Ric Flair do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Evel Knievel do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to Roy Jones, Jr.. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Thanks. J.delanoygabsadds 16:02, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

July 2008[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --DreamsAreMadeOf (talk) 01:53, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you insert advertising or a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. RFerreira (talk) 17:39, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:JoeFrazier.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:JoeFrazier.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. (ESkog)(Talk) 22:20, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Joe Frazier. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --DreamsAreMadeOf (talk) 01:41, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:DarrenPrince-Joe-Magic-Dennis.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Superstargreetings. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. power~enwiki (π, ν) 06:24, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
