Orphaned non-free image (Image:VeggieBoards.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VeggieBoards.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:02, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Norse colonization...[edit]

Hei! You've made some well-thought-out edits. At the moment there are just two of us there, Tedickey og underteikna. You're welcome to contribute! --Hordaland (talk) 17:12, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mange takk for that! :) I will try to do my best. TheLastNinja (talk) 09:45, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of VeggieBoards[edit]

I have nominated VeggieBoards, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/VeggieBoards. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? rootology (C)(T) 06:52, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for this. I just saw an odd sentence and removed it, though I suppose I should have checked to see how it got there. It's funny how almost whenever I see something like that, the sentence had just been added. Regards, Mackan79 (talk) 00:23, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, and thanks so much for trying to help! I almost feel like articles such as vegetarianism should have some kind of protection due to the large number of nonsense edits by non-members + the fact that the article has already reached a fairly mature level. TheLastNinja (talk) 08:31, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of Internet forums. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Internet forums. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Veganism discussion[edit]

Just to let you know that in reply to your post to SlimVirgin "Sheri Lucas, Valerie Lawrence and Encyclopedia of Vegetarianism are not among the sources for the article." Sheri Lucas in Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy and Valerie Lawrence in the Canadian Medical Association Journal SlimVirgin has listed as sources. Like you though I too cannot find Encyclopedia of Vegetarianism. I hope this helps. Nirvana2013 (talk) 07:24, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I must admit some confusion here. Yes, SlimVirgin has listed them on the talk page, but what I mean is that none of these are among the sources for the veganism article itself. (Maybe they should be added.) I think Encyclopedia of Vegetarianism is probably Cultural Encyclopedia of Vegetarianism which was listed on the talk page by the IP user who started the discussion section. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
