Akira is an Canadian rock band based out of Kingston, Ontario, originally hailing from the Bancroft, Ontario also known as TheSoundOfAkira. The band released their first EP titled Impulse in 2011

Formation and Impulse (2011–2012)[edit]
Akira<ref name="Facebook.com">http://www.facebook.com/TheSoundOfAkira</ref was created in August 2011 in Ontario by Akira. Akira Had played in several bands previous years before Becoming Akira in 2011, Dead Fox joined as the first Official Bassist for the band, while Akira is responsible for lead vocals & guitar.
Impulse (2011)[edit]
The band went to Violent Blue Studios in Kingston, Ontario to record their EP, produced by Derrick Nimmo.
From mid November to mid March the band toured alongside Joshua Carr, in support of their release Impulse.
