In my reply to TradeCharlotte who is requesting that my page to be deleted, I sent TraderCharlotte the following message: Hello TraderCharlotte, it appears you have requested that my Wiki page be deleted, though I am not sure why you feel this way. The original article was published by a journalist, and a fan of my first film, KISS ME, GUIDO. Since that time, I have made edits to the article and believed that I was doing it correctly with the proper references. There are many filmmakers who have had their films, and their body of work (some with much less credibility than I), added to Wikipedia, so I am not sure why you have chosen mine for deletion. I see that you are, or have an affiliation with, tastytrade. If I mentioned anything that was written about tastytrade that you do not think it is worthy, then please make the necessary edit. However, please let me know if there is something else in the article that you think I need to correct rather than making the request to delete my entire page. To @Tvdowntown: Hi Tony, to be clear, I'm not affiliated with Tastytrade- I'm just a fan and sometimes email Tom. The problem with the article about you is that there isn't enough third-party sources about you. If you can find some, please add it to the article and let us know at the deletion discussion. Hi TradeCharlotte, thank you for the prompt reply and helping me fix this article. I am not sure how many third party sources I need to have an article avoid deletion by you and you argument for deletion. I have 10 3rd party sources, almost one per sentence. And they're from publications such as The New York Times, Reuters and Variety. What is your preferable number for 3rd party sources to satisfy your request to delete me? Also, if you would be so kind, if this is not the "delete discussion" please let me know when there will be the "delete discussion" and if another party is joining the delete discussion. I would like to get some clarity on the minimum number of 3rd party sources that are needed as well as the quality fo sources that are needed to avoid deletion. Hi. The deletion discussion is happening here, multiple people will be joining that. You did your signature correctly this time. I'm not really the best person to ask about questions like this, please ask these questions on the deletion discussion page, and hopefully someone will reply to you soon. Also, there is no guarentee that the article on you will be deleted- I just started a deletion discussion, multiple other Wikipedia users will have to reply before an admin (I'm not an admin) decides to delete or keep it. Hi TraderCharlotte, As for your nomination to delete "JadeLizard," I am in full support of that deletion. You are a trader and a fan of tastytrade as well as Wikipedia editor(?). There were no sources for that addition to Wikipedia. I was asked by tastytrade, when I was employed there, to add Jade Lizard to Wikipedia back in 2013/2014, so I am not supporting keeping that in Wikipedia. However, I continue to believe that I have supported by page, Tony Vitale, with appropriate sources. I just thought that since you were the one who assessed my page beyond the Jade Lizard and thought it was insufficient for 3rd party sources, you would have an understanding of what is not sufficient about my sources. If your request is more about addressing Jade Lizard and not me personally, then I would like to ask that you please retract your nomination for deletion, if that is even possible. Hi sorry, I do have my own rationale which I laid out in the deletion discussion; this is becoming time-consuming for me also, I can't retract the nomination- it's up to the community now and this could take a week or two. In my long discussion with TraderCharlotte, their initial complaint/reasoning for deletion, the "Jade Lizard" article, was removed from any mention in my article. However, TraderCharlotte still requested my article to be deleted, which I believe I adequately defended (see above) not to delete. Thus, I am making one more edit in attempt to retain the article on Wikipedia. Hello TraderCharlotte, it seems like the message I sent you may not have reached you. In following up on your comment about the Jade Lizard, we are in accord with that deletion. However, as I stated in a previous, I still have not heard about your response regarding the validity of my resources, or any other item that makes you feel my article should be deleted. I am now using Wikipedia too much and I am getting flagged for defend myself and my article. Here is my followup commment, hoping to bring some relief to me regarding your request for my article to be deleted:

It seems like Sdrqaz mentioned that I should add the conversation here as opposed to, or in addition to, where we have been shading the discussion about my article. Since you did not respond to my defense, I followed the instructions and removed the template, however once again, I may have done something wrong as I am not as savvy as you, nor Sdrqaz with the intricacies of communication on Wiki. I am, however, proud of my accomplishments as they are in line with other filmmakers who have made feature films. I have also included my New York Times interview where my film was on the cover of the Sunday Arts and Leisure section in 1997. I referenced articles like that as well as many others, yet for some reason, you are still choosing to mention that they are not acceptable. I am removing all cautionary tags from the BLP of Tony Vitale[edit]

I inadvertently stumbled upon the drama associated with the Tony Vitale BLP. I edited the article, and confirmed that there are many, many WP:RS and WP:NPOV sources that establish notability of the subject! During my editing, I removed a few unsourced sentences that were not germane to the overall article. I am now going to remove the last COI tag because I believe it is no longer applicable.

In the future, I urge you and any others with a COI on this or other Wikipedia articles to follow the process described already on your talk page. Specifically, do NOT make edits to your own biography on Wikipedia nor any others with which you have a close involvement. (You are not the only one to do this by the way, nor were you a biased editor. Everyone from famous neocons to highly respected genetic researchers and their wives have done all sorts of messing with Wikipedia BLPs and related articles.) Instead, post the additions or changes you want to have made to the article on the article's talk page. Every Wikipedia article in what we call "mainspace" (visible to the Internet) has a talk page associated with it.

Of course, I encourage you to continue editing Wikipedia about any and all things with which you are not personally involved! Congratulations on the sale of tasty. It is a much-loved resource by many people I have known over the years, even though I wasn't a user.

If you have any questions about editing articles where you have a conflict of interest, e.g. making further changes to the BLP of Tony Vitale as he moves on to his next accomplishment, please do not hesitate to ask me.
