Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Zolandani. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 03:57, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. Im confused , I have seen many articles on established articles eg walt disney animation studio, Animation studio where one click to an animation studio will link to a page sharing what the animation studio does , titles of their animation etc and I would like to share our animation titles and history to allow more to know about us. I have seen a page on shanghai animation studio as well. Thus i would like to know is this a conflict of interest if i share our company Zolandani (talk) 12:57, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
A company is not entitled to have an article on Wikipedia just because it exists; this isn't a business directory. A company must meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable company to be considered worthy of inclusion. This means the company must have already received significant in-depth coverage from multiple reliable sources that are independent of the company itself.
We have no interest in what a company wants to say about itself. If your company is not notable by Wikipedia's definition, and you try to use Wikipedia to publicize your company's existence to the world, then that is considered promotion and not allowed here. Readers expect to find plainly factual, neutrally worded articles written independently of their subjects; not corporate or personal webpages, or platforms for advertising and self-promotion. Articles should contain only material that complies with Wikipedia's content policies and best practices, and editors must place the interests of the encyclopedia and its readers above all self-serving motives.
If you believe that you can show that your company is notable, and can verify the existence of significant coverage from third-party sources, then you can attempt to create a draft article using the WP:Article wizard. However, you must first review, understand and comply with the mandatory policy on disclosure of paid editing, as it applies to you. You must clearly identify who your employer is before any attempt to write about them. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:57, 9 December 2021 (UTC)124.246.94.230 (talk) 01:38, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Zolandani. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Zolandani. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Zolandani|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 10:30, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
