Valerie "Bangs" Pablo Garcia (born May 26, 1987 in Davao City, Metro Davao, Philippines) is a Filipina actress and contract star of ABS-CBN. Her nickname "Bangs" came about after her first acting role wherein she had her bangs/fringe covering her face. She is an avid fan and collector of the popular RAINBOW brand flip flops. Her favorite is a blue strapped, 1.5 inch, thong flip flops which has a thick rubber sole and has 5 rainbow sidestripes which is also dubbed as a thickness indicator.

Career[edit]

Bangs Garcia joined in the reality show Campus Idol, where she emerged as the female grand winner, where she is most popularly and widely known as her stage and screen name "Bangs Garcia" so she is usually credited as under that name.

Her first appearance on national TV was on the reality search Close-Up To Fame, where she was one of the runners-up next to female grand winner Carine Cabebe. She is also a member of ABS-CBN's circle of homegrown talents named Star Magic.

Following up and on with her stint on the said reality search, Bangs then debutted as a Kapamilya talent and joined the youth-oriented sitcom Let's Go and Gokada Go.

One of her first major projects is ABS-CBN's teleseries Kambal sa Uma as Ynez Ocampo, one of the main antagonists in the story.

In 2010, the ABS-CBN management then gave her a leading role in Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal?, where she played the role of Carmela Bautista-Morales as the main protagonist.

Bangs also graces multiple cover issues of magazines such as FHM, Maxim and many more.
