You should write something in the Signpost and at http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page, that way you have some public face stuff and maybe get some more supporting volunteers. Also consider spamming local Wikipedian's or setting up a WP:Geonotice to grab additional interest. Perhaps, an invitation template would be appropriate at some of the projects that you deemed important as well. If you need any help, i am watching this page and I can always be contacted on my talk. Thanks so much for your willingness to help. I'll certainly be needing it once I get a bit more organized. I see that you're helping out with GLAM/SI and I'll be modeling a bit of the WikiProject collaboration off of what they're doing. At the moment I'm trying to get the new TCMI logo uploaded appropriately before creating a WikiProject invitation template. A blogpost/announcement of one kind or another is in the works, which is great. Throughout August I'm just going to be getting organized but by the end of the month I should be ready to spread the word in a more systematic way. Thanks for keeping this on your radar! Museum Theatre/Family Learning

I had one of the wikipedians at today's session ask for the list of readings we are reviewing for our Museum Education and Museum Intro classes as possible source material for articles on family learning, programs, theory and museum theatre. Just to keep you updated..

Foot binding shoes. Shot during the TCMI backstage Event

and to prevent this whole thing from falling asleep before it really started :-). I have uploaded a bunch of pictures to commons. My first batch were pictures of the event. The second batch are some of the museum artifacts and interior shots. I intend to upload many more pictures but I'm currently waiting for a reply from the curator that helped me with some of my shots (to make sure that I pick sensible filenames). I had a lot of fun, especially during the short photo shoot backstage right after the lunch meeting. I could have continued for the rest of the day. --Dschwen 16:27, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

I was wondering if you'd be willing to link to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis Wikipedia article in your Commons template details? It's OK if you don't want to go back through and re-do each that you've already uploaded; but wanted to suggest it as you move forward. Obviously it's your template, not mine :).

I thought I overheard a conversation that a template for images taken during this event was supposed to be created. Changing the image descriptiuons wouldn't much of a problem. First of all anyone can/should do it (I'm sure I don't have to wave around WP:OWN ;-) ). Secondly I could write a little bot to add the template to all images taken on Nov 5th in the TCMI category. --Dschwen 17:08, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

P.S.: The article usage tracker returns 0 images used. This cannot be true/up-to-date. At least Paper clothing and Lotus shoes (de:Lotosfuß) contain pictures from that category. --Dschwen 17:11, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Refresh that link and it should work. Sometimes it doesn't run the first time I click on it, but it does after I refresh.

There will be a template made soon by User:Multichill for the images coming from TCMI which will have the specific licensing the museum is requesting. Otherwise there is not a more general TCMI template. Feel free to run with whatever you'd like to do. Bots always make our lives easier, that's for sure! HstryQT (talk) 17:34, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Opposition to page move?

Is there any opposition to moving these pages to reflect the full name of the organization (Children's Museum of Indianapolis)? I think abbreviations should be reserved for redirects, and that way (when browsing categories or project pages) readers know which institution is being referred to? --Another Believer _(Talk) 17:24, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I am not sure if this is the best place to discuss this, but could it be that this picture is a copyright violation? It depicts a work of art by a living artist. Did the Children's Museum of Indianapolis have the artist's permission to upload a picture of her artwork under a free license? Thanks, --Gnom (talk) 09:57, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
