Ziziphus cambodianus is a thorny shrub, some 2-6m tall, of secondary undergrowth communities in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.[3][2] Common names for the plant include អង្គ្រង, angkrong and ângkrâ:ng (="red ant", an allusion to the nests of ants in its branches, Khmer)[3]. The wood is used to make charcoal, a decoction of the bark is used in traditional medicine to treat ovarian diseases and yeast infections.
