It was not cited, and poorly reflected the more accurate (and cited) information on the shawarma page. Again: the author failed to actually mention that what they are describing is called shawarma. While it's both possible AND delightful to buy/make/eat shawarma gyros, there are plenty of other options (everything from falafel to keftedes) and shawarma is by NO MEANS either the only or the most typical main protein in a gyro. That much depends entirely on region.
