The problem was that the intro didn't show if which one indicate ions having a positive/negative charge - which is what most readers are looking for: a quick reminerder.   • curprev 09:5809:58, 26 November 2021 Scyrme talk contribs 27,946 bytes +26 +copyedit; -del "particle" from first sentence: "ion" refers to a charged atom or molecule, not to any charged particle - a single proton has a charge but is not an "ion", so the previous wording is misleading. It seems someone added "particle" some months ago, as past versions have the wording I have restored here.
