(He replaced Dale Earnhardt Jr. as a turn announcer with Jr. not returning to NBC and him not being replaced by another color commentator this year.)

  • curprev 08:1208:12, 15 May 2024Cavanaughs talk contribs 4,248 bytes +50 Jimmie Johnson will commentate for NBC in 3 Cup Series races in 2024 (nascar.com/news-media/2024/05/14/jimmie-johnson-to-join-nbc-for-four-races-in-2024): Daytona in August, Talladega in October & Phoenix in November (which he's scheduled to drive his #84 car in & the article says he'll still be in the race so this'll likely be like Kyle Petty at Sonoma in 2007 where he drove in the race but also commentated through frequent check-ins by the booth). He'll also commentate the Indy 500 for NBC.

  • curprev 19:2519:25, 11 April 2024Cavanaughs talk contribs 4,198 bytes +120 Added The CW Network to the list of channels for NASCAR on NBC as they will collaborate with The CW (NBC will produce the broadcast and have their commentators on The CW's broadcasts) for the final 8 races of the 2024 season as NBC passes the torch to The CW which will be the full season TV broadcaster of the Xfinity Series starting in 2025 with the start of the next NASCAR TV contract: nascar.com/news-media/2024/04/11/the-cw-network-broadcast-final-eight-races-nascar-xfinity-series-2024
