Sincere attempt to help
Look, you're pissed off; I get that. You can choose to listen to me, ignore me, or insult me; that will be your choice. Honestly, although I commented in the previous WP:ANI situation, I hold no grudges, I belong to no WP:CABAL, and indeed I am not even an admin (although I did fail one WP:RFA of my own).

To me, you are a generally good editor whose passion is getting the best of them right now - that passion is about to destroy you possibly both internally, and on Wikipedia. Dude, Wikipedia is not life! Passion is good, but it must be controlled passion. Fight battles where you have a chance of winning.

Becoming an admin, besides being no big deal, is really like a job interview for a company that you have been working for over the years. In other words, your entire work history (both good and bad) is available to everyone. The job of the evaluators is to go over that history and make criticism of your Skills, Knowledge and Personal Suitability. Those are not personal attacks, because by applying for RFA, you have asked everyone to criticize your skills. It is common to read the comments in an RFA as incivility and react - BAD IDEA (trust me, I know). The comments are intended to show WHY someone !voted the way they did and to provide you with an opportunity to learn from past mistakes.

I'm going to repeat this, as it's vital: do not take criticism in an RFA personally; take it as a learning opportunity.

Let me change gears for a second: if you have a valid concern about the actions of another editor, we have WP:RFC/U. Remember however, Wikipedia runs on WP:Consensus. Breaking other policies while trying to get someone kicked out is never going to end well - it's disruption and WP:POINTy.

The existence of consensus is not proof of the existence of a cabal. When consensus does not go your way, it's a good idea to step back and look at the situation objectively.

As I said, you can ignore the above. I'm just trying to sit you down over a couple of Ouzos and be friendly, yet frank. Alright, I'll respond to your comment [1] in good faith for what I suspect will be the last time. Bureaucrats (and, for that matter, sysops) have authority in very limited, narrow ways. And are not allowed to be abusive. In every other way, we're just like any other user. If I were trying to "get you banned for no reason", I wouldn't get very far in doing so, quite frankly. And if I blocked you, or anyone, out of personal dislike, I'd be at serious risk of losing my position. The fact that you're on a different side from almost everyone should make you consider, if you're not in fact trolling, that you are in the wrong. By the way, at this point essentially any uninvolved sysop could block you indefinitely (meaning, in practice, possibly forever) - due to the consensus that has formed in the thread. You should be aware of that. -- Pakaran 10:33, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 11:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
