A 18-mile long east-west two-lane highway running from Indiana State Road 65 in Owensville to Indiana State Road 57 in Mackey, Indiana. It runs around 3 miles north and parallel to its parent highway, Indiana State Highway 68. IN-168 is entirely within Gibson County, Indiana.

IN-168 also runs through the north side of Fort Branch, Indiana.

Other Notes:

IN-168 currently only interects with US Highway 41, however it will also intersect with Interstate 69 when the first section of Interstate 69's Tier 1 project is expected to be completed in 2011.
