A belated welcome!

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Sahiljain22. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Shibbolethink ( ) 17:11, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

COI

Information icon Hello, Sahiljain22. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Bueller 007 (talk) 04:01, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I have reworded and re-added a paragraph in the introduction of Eric Feigl-Ding regarding criticism over his professional qualifications, using more neutral language and adding more citations. I have also added a section collecting the more critical quotes from other COVID-19 commentators. I hope this addresses the concerns you brought up in your edit that deleted the paragraph. Please let me know your thoughts. Given the persistent criticism of Feigl-Ding on these grounds, I believe it is useful to add context to the article that references this criticism. Hi there,
Twitter rants are not well welcome into wikipedia. Was and will be rightfully reverted. Yug (talk) 22:35, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Eric Feigl-Ding changes without discussion

Hi, could you please respond to my comments on Talk:Eric Feigl-Ding? If I don't hear from you soon, I am going to restore the edits containing criticism I had previously made to the page, given that both I and @Yug: had felt that the wording was reasonable. I don't want to get into a nonstop edit war on this page, which is why I think it's important that we have a discussion and figure out what is reasonable to bring up.GlobeGores (talk page | user page) 23:00, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I haven't properly review recent changes by Sahiljain22. Noted a lot of changes, with addition of sources, so it's tricky to review. I can't state a definitive opinion, but I do think that some criticism of Feigl-Ding are relevant, on the basis that he is not the best suited epidemiologist/expert. I will return to review recent edits but it's not my priority at the moment. Yug (talk) 09:11, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oups. Moved to article's talkpage. Yug (talk) 08:47, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your e-mail but I am really not very interested in the content of the article or the rights and wrongs of the debate. I have temporarily protected the article in order to stop edit warring until the matter is settled. Another administrator may decide to take further action. Deb (talk) 08:22, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
