I have added a "{{[[Template:prod|prod]]}}" template to the article [[User:Brian Radwell/Radwell International]], suggesting that it be deleted according to the [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed deletion]] process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "[[Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not|What Wikipedia is not]]" and [[Wikipedia:Deletion policy|Wikipedia's deletion policy]]). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the <code><nowiki>{{dated prod}}</nowiki></code> notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on [[Talk:User:Brian Radwell/Radwell International|its talk page]]. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the [[WP:PROD|proposed deletion process]], the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the [[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|speedy deletion criteria]] or it can be sent to [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion|Articles for Deletion]], where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Welcome!

Hello, Brian Radwell, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

I've moved Radwell International to User:Brian Radwell/Radwell International, since you've put a lot of work in on it. However, the article shouldn't be put back in the main article space because it's a recreation of material that was previously deemed inappropriate for Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Radwell International.) You seem to have done some good work on it; I don't have an opinion right now as to whether or not this could be re-added to Wikipedia, but when you're ready to try the community's opinion, you should open up a deletion review, and link to both the deletion debate and to the article in your userspace, so people can see what you are proposing. Oh yeah, feel free to ask me for help starting the deletion review, if you want it. Just leave a message on my talk page. Mangojuicetalk 17:01, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My article has been moved. I worked hard to provide a valuable contribution. Can someone review and recommend what steps I can take to place it back where it belongs -- in the main article space.

Hello Brian, you left me a message asking for help with your deleted article. As you know, this has already been reviewed by the community at AfD and deleted. Mango has offered to help you take the decision for review at deletion review above. I suggest that you pursue this option with him if you still think the article is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. Please read all the introductory links first though to understand what is and isn't worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia. I'm sure Mango will help you through the process perfectly well, but bear in mind that Wikipedia is not a source of free advertising. As things stand, you have some significant web links to this company in your user space. I will leave things be for now pending any deletion review you wish to make, but this material in your userspace contravenes our userspace policy and will be removed in due course. Please read the links provided above and good luck in contributing to Wikipedia in the future. --Cactus.man 22:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I got your mail and so have turned up to take a look. My opinion is that for this article to survive another AfD, it needs a lot more demonstration of notability. Have you reviewed WP:CORP, WP:N and WP:V? You should... that's where to focus your efforts, if this company is notable. If it's not truly a notable company, perhaps you shold edit other things instead. Hope that helps. The advice you've already gotten is spot on, so asking more people to help probably won't change the answers. ++Lar: t/c 00:53, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Radwell International has been deleted for a couple reasons as understand it:

1) NN: I would like to present the following facts: Radwell (formerly Speck Industrial Controls)is in the surplus business, and has been cited several times in periodicals articles.

a) http://www.inc.com/magazine/20050401/online-sales.html (see Speck Industrial Cotrols in "EBay Hike Irks Small Businesses") b) http://www.fandmmag.com/fmmag/article.asp?article_id=758&channel_id=7 c) Established in 1979, not 2005 as one vote for deletion claimed. d) My article contributes a considerable amount of informative content to the surplus business article, and has links to and from Allen Bradley, Square D -- two very large players in industrial automation, and my article helped explain their activities.

2) Advertising or "spammy" material: The article has been significantly edited by me, includes very little about Radwell Interantional, rather it again informs reader about industiral automation, repair and surplus.

I appeal the deletion on these grounds. Of course, if you still think there is no valuable contribution here, I will resign my appeal efforts.

Have you read WP:CORP? Wat are the annual sales of this company? Is it publicly held? What exchange? Cites in articles about ebay sellers being upset about fees are not necessarily enough to establish notability for a general interest encyclopedia. It may be notable but you haven't demonstrated it yet I don't think. ++Lar: t/c 15:31, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have read WP:CORP. Radwell article appears to meet criteria number 1. ebay's fee increase is very notable and a very contraversial businees decicion and milestone(http://www.businessweek.com/the_thread/techbeat/archives/2006/07/will_ebay_fee_h.html) that is , since their stated objective with this move is to encourage ebay store owners to move back to traditional auctions for much of their inventory.
The other article I cite was solicited by the periodical itself, not submitted by Radwell.
Please use threaded discussion instead of starting new headings, it makes it easier, especially if the headings are the same.. and when you use headings, make them relevant if you can. To confer notability, articles need to be primarily ABOUT the company, not just mention it in passing. Is this article all about YOUR company or just how it affects all sellers. I'm a seller on ebay and I think the recent fee increases impact me badly but I'm not notable, despite having over 18,000 google hits on my name. Our notability standards are high. I suspect all of this was covered in either the AfD or the DRV. Again, what are your annual sales? Over 100M USD/ year ??? If not, it is not likely you are notable unless you have done something spectacularly unique. Which you haven't shown evidence of yet. Hope that helps. ++Lar: t/c 16:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article User:Brian Radwell/Radwell International, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on [[Talk:User:Brian Radwell/Radwell International|its talk page]]. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
