Anna Devane was formerly a spy with the WSB. She currently is with a different agency. Anna was married to WSB agent [[Robert Scorpio]]. Although currently divorced, they have a daughter, [[Robin Scorpio]] together. Anna was also married to nightclub owner and erstwhile mobster, [[Duke Lavery]], who broke ties with the mob for love of Anna. In so doing, he brought the organization to its knees, and he eventually gave up his life to protect Anna and Robin. Anna and Duke wanted children badly, but lost the baby Anna was carrying due to an elevator crash staged by mob princess Olivia Jerome. Anna and Robert later remarried, but were presumed dead in an explosion in 1992. However, Anna resurfaced in [[Pine Valley, Pennsylvania]] in 2001 on ''[[All My Children]]'', where she eventually became Pine Valley's Chief of Police. She was married to Dr. [[David Hayward]] on that show and had a baby daughter, [[Leora Hayward|Leora]], with him. The baby died of a heart defect.
