Nicole Alexander is popularly known as Hoopz, due to her love of basketball as a fan and a player. She is an American model and actress, best known as the winning contestant in the first season of the VH1 reality show, Flavor of Love, after a 10-episode nationally televised competition.

Biography

Nicole Alexander was born July 12, 1982 in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from Woodhaven High School in Brownstown, MI, where she was a star basketball player and athlete. She currently lives nearby in Dearborn. Prior to acting, she worked with her uncle demolishing and rebuilding houses.

At the age of 23 she auditioned for Flavor of Love. Alexander eventually won after almost two months of living with other contestants.

As of 2007, Alexander continues to model in calendars, magazines, and for modeling agencies Eye Candy & Titanium Girlz. She has also appeared in videos such as Will Smith's "Party Starter" & Lil' Keke's "Chunk Up The Deuce", as well as "The Game's" "Wouldn't Get Far" video and Maddi Madd Holla Back http://youtube.com/watch?v=ik3VFl8OqGQ

Alexander has announced that she has been given scripts for several movies, including one with Mekhi Phifer & Trick Daddy, and is now auditioning for a role in the upcoming feature film "Friends Are Forever". She was recently featured on an episode of MTV's Wild 'N Out. Alexander's trailer for her newest movie, "Ghetto Stories", has been released. The movie will feature rappers Lil Boosie and Lil Webbie. [2] Alexander is currently filming another film which she has cited on her official myspace page [3].

On June 13 2006, Alexander was arrested at her home in Dearborn, Michigan after a fight with a police officer.[1] The police had responded to a noise complaint from her neighbors. Hoopz claims that the police officer was the instigator and grabbed her by her neck. Her neighbors claim that visitors to Alexander's home are disrespectful and loud, but Alexander alleges that the root-problem is racism toward her mostly black family and friends. Alexander was released on bail on June 14, 2006.

Flavor of Love

Alexander appeared on the first season of Flavor of Love at age 23. After almost two months of living in "Flav's mansion" along with the show's other contestants, Flav chose her as the winner over Tiffany Pollard ("New York"), the other finalist. As a token of his affection, Flav gave Alexander a set of gold teeth similar to his own. In the series' reunion special, Alexander revealed that she and Flav were no longer a couple. Flav subsequently made a second season of Flavor of Love.
